The reason for saying "I am not unequal" is that, in terms of types, there are only two kinds of smells: fragrant and foul. Furthermore, the scriptures speak of a third kind of smell, an equal smell, but this is because some things are tainted by fragrant smells and some by foul smells, so there is actually no third kind. The so-called equal smell refers to a smell that is not strong; an unequal smell refers to a smell that is strong. The scriptures say that unequal smells are the difference between fragrant and foul smells, while equal smells can be understood as something common other than these two. The nature of touch has eleven aspects. The so-called "tangible" is because it can be touched, so it is called tangible; or because the body's senses can touch it, so it is called tangible. If it is said that what is used to touch what, then that thing will also be touched, so wouldn't the body's senses also become tangible? That's not the case, the body's senses are used to touch, not to be touched, just like the eyes. The eyes are used to see, not to be seen. The so-called "smoothness is softness" means that smoothness itself is smoothness, just as each itself is its own nature. Definite words are to be connected, so it is smooth. Softness is not rough, meaning it can adapt. The so-called "roughness is rough" means that because this thing has a rough nature, it is rough, like having hair. The word rough is a manifestation of strength, roughness itself is roughness. Roughness is hardness, meaning it is different from smoothness. The so-called "heaviness is what is used to measure things" means to lower it. Because having it will lower it, so it is heavy, meaning it will make mistakes. Heaviness itself is heaviness. The Vaibhashikas say that it can raise the scale. The so-called "the opposite is lightness" means that it is not used to measure things, and having it will lower it, so it is light. Lightness itself is lightness. The so-called "hunger and thirst is because of wanting warmth" means that because of weakness, one wants warmth, which is because of feeling cold from walking, so it can bring both benefit and harm.

It means that one should return quickly. Hunger means wanting food, which is a very common statement. If it is said that the dharma arising from the mind is not the object of the bodily senses, therefore, it is said, "Because the result is established on the cause," meaning that in the abdomen, a difference in tactile sensation arises from wanting food and wanting meditation. Among them, hunger arises from the cause of wanting food, and thirst arises from the cause of wanting drink, because the result is established on the cause. If here it is not desired to say that the result is established on the cause, then it would not be said, "Hunger means wanting food, and thirst means wanting drink." What would be said then? It would be said, "Hunger and thirst mean wanting food and drink." The same example, the Buddhas are not the nature of producing happiness, but because they are the cause of happiness, they are said to be happiness. Similarly, it should be said for teaching the Dharma and so on. Among them, there is no hunger and thirst in the realm of form, because the beings born there have already separated from the desire for coarse food, and there is no harm to the body. Otherwise, there would also be the suffering of hunger and thirst there. The remaining five, such as lightness, exist. If it is said that, from the establishment, the clothes of the wish-fulfilling tree of those whose voices are unpleasant are measured as one srang. The clothes of the Four Great Kings are half of that. The clothes of the Thirty-three Gods are half of that. Reducing it by half and half like that, the clothes of the wish-fulfilling tree of the Paranirmita-vasavartins are measured as four sixteenths of one srang, and above that, the clothes of those who enjoy in the realm of form are not measured. If it is said like that, if there is weight, how can it not be measured? If it is said that in the realm of form, the bodies of sentient beings and their supports are as clear as the light of jewels, so it is impossible for weight to exist. To this, it is said in order to make the established treatise visible. Even if each garment is not measured there, but the accumulated garments are measured. How should this be understood? From gathering and stretching, like the pistil of a kasha flower. The pistil of a kasha flower.
