The establishment is because it accords with the aspects of householders and renunciants. The meaning of 'in order to know the cause of going' is that the cause of beings is the existence of karma, therefore it is the nature of going, but in order to know the cause of going, it is spoken of separately. The meaning of 'this is too much even for the intermediate state' is that even if it is spoken of separately, it becomes going, then only the nature of going is shown separately in order to know going. 'Because one goes there' means to completely hold on to what is to be done. For the intermediate state, that is acceptable, therefore it is not going. 'Even the formless ones' is an extensive explanation, the formless ones are not going, because they are born in the very place of death and transference. Thus, those who approach the formless, wherever they die and transfer, whether in a monastery or under a tree or between the four dhyanas, they are born there, and like the intermediate state, they will not become going. 'If that is so, then' means abandoning the first view and relying on another view. The meaning of 'only because it is an intermediate state' is that it occurs between where one dies and transfers and where one will go, so it is an intermediate state. If the intermediate state is the middle of going, then the middle of going is not allowed to go. If those who go are also virtuous and afflicted, how should this statement 'after ripening' be understood? After ripening, even if they are virtuous and afflicted, they are included in the number of hells, and there is no contradiction. Thus, if it is only after ripening that they are included in the number of hells, if it is said that way, then it can be understood that other aggregates are excluded. 'Then the venerable one for him' is an extensive explanation, here too, the substance of the person is excluded, but other aggregates are not excluded, so there is no contradiction. Some of them say that it is only the nature of ripening. Why? Because hell is not seen apart from the aggregate of ripening, and because ripening has become

It is said that they go out of the number of hells and so on, so it should be understood that all beings are only of the nature of ripening. Others say that they are also of the nature of arising from growth, such as the eyes and so on, which are born from ripening and also arise from growth, and these are also included among beings. The scholar Sthiramati says that it is only the nature of ripening, wanting the previous view. Body and consciousness are different, etc., in the extensive explanation, in short, the nature of the seven abodes of consciousness are the gods and humans in the desire realm, and the first three of meditative concentration and formless absorption, and these should be explained extensively. Sentient beings with form, etc., those with form are those who possess a body of form. The first dhyana practitioner, those who are in the first dhyana are the first dhyana practitioners, such as the Brahma host and so on. Those who arise first, because they are established in the second abode of consciousness, it is said that they are other than those who arise first. The reason why those bodies are different, etc., in the extensive explanation, different means that the color, signs, and shapes are not the same. Color refers to white and so on. Signs refer to clothes and ornaments and so on. Shape refers to thinness and so on. The reason for the diversity of consciousness, etc., is because they have consciousness of pleasure, pain, and neither pain nor pleasure, the consciousness of pain is only in the desire realm. Pleasure and equanimity are respectively in the desire realm and the upper realms. All those who arise first think like this, etc. The body of form, the body of the nature of form is the body of form, in order to clarify the body of feeling and so on. Form is form, and body is the abdomen. How do they see that, meaning in what way. Do they abide in the light, or are they born in the first dhyana, or of the first dhyana
