In saying "not intermediate state," the second example of argumentation is that it is also extensively explained in the Dharma Skandha. From this, it can be seen that, just as it arises from meditation, the intermediate state being is also shown to be distinctly different from the eye faculty of hells, etc. Therefore, just as it arises from meditation, it is not included among the beings of hells, etc., so the intermediate state being is not the nature of beings. Otherwise, if the eye of hells, etc., also showed the intermediate state being, then why would it be said again? Not only does the scripture separate the intermediate state being from beings, but what is it then? The sutra also extensively explains that the intermediate state being is separate from beings. The basis for the intermediate state being not being the nature of beings and beings not being prophesied is the existence of karma and the intermediate state, because it is spoken of separately from hells, etc. In saying "having cause and having beings," the cause of beings is the existence of karma, and the being is the intermediate state, because this makes it a being. The reason for saying "because of that" is because of the sutra. The reason for saying "its cause" is that the cause of beings is the existence of karma, because it is separate from beings, so it is established that beings are not obscured and not prophesied. In saying "the Kashmiris also," since that sutra is not included in the four Agamas, they cite a different one. In elaborating on "the drippings of hell," the faults of body, speech, and mind are those caused by flattery. The faults of body, speech, and mind are those caused by hatred. The defilements of body, speech, and mind are those caused by desire. In saying "after the maturation of the result, it goes into the ranks of hell," the basis for saying that beings are not obscured and not prophesied is this: because the result is not obscured and not prophesied, it becomes hell in the stage of the result, but that is the stage of experiencing its karma and afflictions.

It means that it is not at that time. For the one with life, there is no hell visible other than those dharmas. In hells, only those that are established as the nature of ripening, such as form, are hells. Other than those, no other hells, whether virtuous or non-virtuous dharmas, are visible. Therefore, the word "sentient being" is also established, because ripening is called a sentient being. The realm of hell is only an example here. Then, in the treatise called "Discrimination," what should be answered here? Because all actions are unobscured and unindicated, they should be abandoned through cultivation. For what should be abandoned through cultivation, there are also what should be abandoned through cultivation. Subtle growth, all actions will grow, but others will not. Therefore, it is necessary to answer all that is mentioned. Even if there are five types, they will also become virtuous and afflicted. The so-called "In all actions, there are five types of consciousness that connect the continuum" refers to what is abandoned by seeing suffering, origin, cessation, and path, and what is abandoned by cultivation. The so-called "mentioning actions with entry" refers to actions with entry, because the entry of actions is closely related to actions. The entry of actions is also the consciousness that connects the continuum, and the unobscured and unindicated continuum below the consciousness that connects the continuum is called liberation. Because those are also five types, it is said that all subtle growth will grow in all actions. An example of this is like mentioning a village also mentioning the vicinity of the village. If mentioning a village also mentions the vicinity of the village, what does that mean? Because it will be said that there are rice fields and grain fields in this village. For example, the five degenerations will appear in detail, namely the degeneration of life, the degeneration of the eon, the degeneration of affliction, the degeneration of view, and the degeneration of sentient beings. Although there is no difference in the nature of affliction, the degeneration of view is different from affliction.
