Oho. Because belief is predominant, they are humans. Worldly people say they are sons of strength. Do these have houses in the sky? Because they dwell there, they are gods. Playing is a god, and amusement is what it means. The four abodes of the great king are the retinues of the Four Great Kings. Because the intermediate words are not manifest, it is like an ox and a cart. Alternatively, because these possess the power of the Four Great Kings, they are the Four Great Kings. Those who are born there through performing virtuous deeds together are the Thirty-three. Worldly people say there are eight wealth gods, two sons of constellations, eleven fierce ones, and twelve suns. Thus, there are thirty-two attendants and one lord, totaling thirty-three. The scriptures also follow this and name them accordingly. Those who are free from suffering and strife are the Non-contention ones. Those who possess joy and dwell in close proximity are the Joyful Ones (Tushita). This refers to the realm of joy and contentment, joy and delight. These beings delight in the enjoyments they themselves emanate, so they are the Those Delighting in Emanation. Those who exercise control over the enjoyments emanated by others are the Those Who Control Others' Emanations. The eight great hot hells are as follows: The Reviving Hell is where beings are cut and chopped, die, and then revive, hence the name Reviving Hell. The Black Line Hell is where beings are marked with black lines and then cut. The Crushing Hell is where beings are crushed to death by mountains coming from two sides like sheep. The Howling Hell is where beings, when tormented, transform greatly and emit howls. The special one is the Great Howling Hell. The Hot Hell is where beings are tormented by fire and the like. The special one is the Very Hot Hell. The Uninterrupted Hell is where beings are surrounded by blazing fire, without any comfort. Alternatively, because suffering is uninterrupted, it is the Uninterrupted Hell. Jambudvipa is the continent marked by the Jambu tree. Eastern Videha is to the east of Mount Meru. Western

Where is the Kiyi Ban Lang practice located in the west? The unpleasant sound of the north is in the north. These are just names, and those continents are only known in the world. Among the "six kinds of gods just mentioned," there are the eight great hells and the four continents, the four great kings, etc., the six kinds just mentioned, as well as the hungry ghosts and animals. Thus, these twenty places are the desire realm. The eight cold hells such as the Blister Hell, and the Reviving Hell, etc., also exist as their retinue as they are. Therefore, because they are not the main ones, the cold hells are not described separately. The ephemeral hells are also not described separately because their location, number, and extent are uncertain. Therefore, relying on the characteristic of "Great Hell," it is thought that other hells also exist. There it is said separately: "The meditation ground is the third." To explain in detail, for the time being, the three meditations are divided into small, medium, and large, and each has three grounds. The fourth meditation is divided into small, medium, and large, and because it has five forms, therefore "there are only five pure abodes." Because it is also divided into five kinds of noble ones, it is the eighth ground. Because they are born from great karma, those in the Brahma realm are the Brahma hosts. Others are the Brahma retinue because they arise in the retinue of Brahma, meaning the attendants of Brahma. Others sit in front like attendants, so they are attendants. Because they serve as attendants of Brahma, they are the attendants of Brahma. Because of the characteristics of lifespan and color, etc., they become Great Brahmas, so they are the Great Brahmas. Those are both Brahmas and Great Brahmas, so they are Great Brahmas. These, relative to their own ground, are the Lesser Light Gods because their light is small. These have immeasurable light, so they are the Immeasurable Light Gods. These, like lightning in the clouds, emit and radiate light from anywhere, so they are the Radiant Light Gods. The joy of the mind is called virtue, and these, relative to their own ground, are the Lesser Virtue Gods because they are small. These have immeasurable virtue, so they are the Immeasurable Virtue Gods. These have all virtues.

Therefore, they are the ones who increase in virtue. Therefore, they think that there is no other place with such supreme bliss. These, like clouds, are not connected to the earth, so they are the cloudless ones, their immeasurable chamber. Because they arise and perish together with sentient beings. Because it says so. These arise from unwavering actions, therefore they are born from merit, so they are the merit-born ones. These places rely on the great fruits of other places, and all ordinary beings arise supremely, therefore they are the great fruit ones. Because they are not mixed with ordinary beings, therefore these are the pure abodes. Because they do not abandon me and the place for a short time, therefore they are the not-small ones. Others say that these have no great amount of afflictions left. Because they meditate on the particularly excellent samadhi, therefore they are not tormented by afflictions, so they are the untroubled ones. Or because of their virtuous thoughts, they do not torment others, so they are the untroubled ones. Because the appearance is completely pure, therefore they appear well, so they are the abundant appearance ones. Because they are beautiful to see, therefore they are the extremely visible ones. Because they possess excellent samadhi, and because there is nothing above them, therefore these are not the lower ones, so they are the non-lower, because they are the supreme ones. Others say that they are the limit of accumulated form, therefore they are the limit of form. Therefore, these are called the seventeen places, and the word 'place' indicates dwelling. Thus, according to the Ni'ogpa school, the form realm has seventeen places. The great Brahma and others differ from the Brahma attendants in terms of lifespan, body size, thoughts, and feelings, and because of these differences, they are different places. The Kashmiris say that there are sixteen places, because only the Brahma attendants have the most supreme abode of the great Brahma. 'Like skin' means like layers, there is no other place. There is no place in the formless realm. It is said that because there is no place here, it is a place-less place. Those with form, the past and future, do not dwell in the realm, but the present does not. Those without form are not
