Regarding what the second is, it is said that they are the third and fourth. The first moment of absorption, and the state with consciousness, there it is the third, here it is the first, because it is produced by the similar immediate cause, so it is the similar immediate cause of consciousness, but it is not the immediate cause of absorption, because the consciousness combined with its similar immediate cause is not absorption. The arising of consciousness and so on with the second moment and so on, there it is the fourth, here it is the second, because there is no interruption with absorption, so it is the immediate cause of absorption, but it is not the similar immediate cause of consciousness. The consciousness of absorption is not the similar immediate cause of them, because it is not the nature of the similar immediate cause of consciousness. The consciousness arising from the absorption without consciousness, and the second moment of absorption and so on, there it is the first, here it is the third, because it is the similar immediate cause of consciousness, and the immediate cause of absorption. The first moment of absorption, and the arising of the state with consciousness and so on, there it is the second, because these dharmas are not the nature of the similar immediate cause of consciousness, and because there is no previous moment of absorption. It is neither the similar immediate cause of consciousness, nor the immediate cause of absorption. Now it will be explained in detail how the arising consciousness is interrupted for a long time, therefore it is said that because it is not interrupted by other consciousnesses, what can interrupt consciousness is consciousness, not the non-corresponding. It will be said like this. The object is all dharmas. Speaking of this, no other dharma will appear except for the object of consciousness and mental factors. In order to show that everything is the object, but not everything, so it is said accordingly. In order to show this, the eye consciousness corresponding to the similar is form.

The term "place" has been extensively explained. The phrase "because it has such characteristics" means that it is the nature of the place. An example of this is that even though wood and the like are not burned, they are called firewood because they have such characteristics. It arises because of the determination of the birth place, substance, and moment. Among them, the determination of the birth place is that the object of eye consciousness, which is associated with similarity, is the birth place of form, and not others. The determination of substance is that the object that holds blue is only that, and not yellow and so on. The determination of the moment is that whatever the object of a moment is, that is its object, and not another. The phrase "how is the nature" is a synonym for saying what is the object of what. The consciousness of the ear and so on should also be combined with sounds and so on in the same way. The phrase "it is said that it is so" means that it is so. Eye consciousness is only dependent on the eye. It is not dependent on others. The determination of its substance should also be understood as the determination of the birth place. Similarly, it should also be said for the consciousness of the ear and so on. Those who are born are those who are determined together with the support, because they cannot be born without a support. Those who have passed away are also those who are with the support, meaning those who were born and ceased at the same time as what they relied on, otherwise the past eye consciousness cannot be established as having a support. The so-called "agent" is explained as "master." This shows that all dharmas except for one's own nature are the cause of the master. This cause is superior to the cause, the immediately preceding condition, and the objective condition, so it is the cause of the master. How does this surpass? All dharmas except one's own nature are the cause of the master, but the cause, the immediately preceding condition, and the objective condition are not like that. The so-called "all dharmas are," means that since the object of the mind's consciousness is all dharmas, the objective condition is also all dharmas, that

If someone asks, why is this specifically proclaimed, what is the special feature of this object-condition? There is a special feature, the co-emergent dharmas of mind and mental factors are never objects, because they are dominant conditions, all dharmas are not object-conditions like dominant conditions, because it is said: It is the cause that makes other than itself become others. Or it is a dominant condition. The name dominant means many. All that is not the nature of itself, named all minds and mental factors are not objects, because the object-condition is only of mind and mental factors, not other object-conditions. The dominant condition is of mind and mental factors, and also of others. The nature of itself, such as what is its own nature? None of the four conditions are conditions, because the definition of condition as such is impossible. Like the unconditioned that is not born of conditioned dharmas. Because it is not to be produced. The two causes fall into cessation, named only act on cessation, must be understood in this way. It is not named only two, this is in terms of birth, not in terms of cessation, because the result only occurs when acting. There are three actions, namely holding the result, producing the result, and enjoying the place. These two act on the co-emergent result, named how do these two act on it? Because they are only able to hold and produce results mutually, because separation from each other cannot hold the place. The three are on birth, named only on birth must be understood in this way. Because of the abandonment of the ripening result and the similar result, etc., birth, therefore the equal share cause and other causes act on the one that is being born. Temporarily equal share, the second is the pervasive cause, because there is a similar result in the end, the result
