If the order of these is not fixed, then the order of seeds and sprouts etc. can also be seen to be fixed. Therefore, because of the difference in abilities, whichever depends on what for its arising, only that will arise immediately after it, and not others. Because it is not related to other minds. Like the mind of an Arhat and the last mental factors, they are not related to other minds and mental factors. Their very end is because they are not related to other minds, if it were not so, it would not be the end. Therefore, they are similar, not the immediately preceding condition. If that were the case, it would appear in detail, if it is said that the consciousness immediately after the cessation of the six is the mind, then here there is no consciousness that would become its immediately ceasing. The mind is distinguished by the object of support, it will appear in detail. If there is no immediately preceding consciousness, how can it be the object of support? Because it abides in its object of support, whether the immediately following consciousness exists or not, it is fine, there is no difference as the object of support. For example, when the eye arises, it abides in the object of support of eye consciousness, if the eye consciousness does not arise because other causes are not complete, then what fault does the eye have? The incompleteness of other causes, for an Arhat, is the absence of karma and afflictions for future existence. The similar immediately preceding condition is distinguished by function, it is distinguished by the arising of the result, not distinguished merely by abiding like the mind. In order to show that, the similar immediately preceding condition, for the dharma that appears for arising, which is taken as the result, is it all? Thus it is said in detail. The mind of an Arhat and the last mental factors do not grasp the result, therefore, they do not have the function of a person, so they are not similar immediately preceding conditions. Those that have mind as a similar immediately preceding condition, those are the similar immediately preceding conditions of the mind. Because there is no interval of other moments, it is the immediately preceding condition of the mind. From the samadhi without mind etc.

It is from cessation and the samadhi without perception. As for what is called the mind of hatred, since its equal and immediate condition is the mind of entering samadhi, it is the equal and immediate of the mind, but it is not the immediate of the mind, because it is interrupted by the moments of entering samadhi. The second moment of entering samadhi is also not the immediate of the mind because it is interrupted by the first moment of entering samadhi, but it is the equal and immediate of the mind, because it is the equal and immediate condition of the mind of entering samadhi. As for what is called the first moment of entering samadhi, in detail, that mind is not the equal and immediate condition of arising and so on, so they are not the equal and immediate of the mind, but it is the immediate of the mind, because it is interrupted by other moments. Because it is not the nature of the equal and immediate of the mind, it is not the equal and immediate of the mind. Only the mind and mental factors, together with the two of entering samadhi, are considered to be the equal and immediate of the mind. As for what is called arising and so on in the state of being together with the mind, what is it? It is the immediate of the mind, but it is not the equal and immediate of the mind. As for what is called the third category, it is the first moment of entering samadhi, which is both the equal and immediate of the mind and the immediate of the mind. As for what is called states of being together with the mind, when a mind arises from a mind, then the later minds and mental factors are both the equal and immediate of the mind and the immediate of the mind by the previous mind. As for what is called the fourth category, it is the second moment of entering samadhi and so on, and the arising of the mind of rising from samadhi and so on, because it is not the nature of the equal and immediate of the mind, it is not the equal and immediate of the mind, and because it is interrupted by other moments, it is not the immediate of the mind. Whatever is the third and fourth, those are the first and second. The first and
