The result of similar nature is similar to the cause. Therefore, the result of similar nature is determined to be the result of equipotential and pervasive causes. It should be definitely understood that it is only the result of equipotential and pervasive causes. But not only the result of similar nature, but also the results of the agent and the lord are their results. It is said in the scripture: "The agent is the result of both." It means that only the result of the agent is the result of both. For example, causes that arise simultaneously and have the same nature only have the function of the agent for the results that arise simultaneously. The result of the lord also arises through them, but since it is also the result of a non-agent, it is not intended to be discussed here. Because it is expressed in verse, in order to explain the word "agent" in detail, it is explained in detail that "there is no difference from the nature of the agent." The function of the agent is no different from the meanings of action, deed, thing, and movement. Action is also no different from things that have action, so it is said that the agent itself is the function of the agent, and it is said that its result is the result of the agent. If it is said that since there is no internal agent, what is this "function of the agent"? Answer: Whatever function of any dharma is the function of the agent of that dharma. If it is said that since there is no internal agent, the agent is only the arising of dharma, so it will become "the agent of dharma" and will not become "the agent of the agent"? Answer: Therefore, it is said that "similar to the function of the agent is the agent," because the actions of the agent that are famous in the world are called "the function of the agent." Therefore, just like the function of the agent as perceived by the world, it is regarded as similar to the function of the agent. For example, similar to the foot of a crow is called a crow's foot, and similar to someone who is as strong or brave as a drunken elephant is called a drunken elephant person. What? Are there others as well? It is explained in detail that it also exists for equipotential and pervasive, as well as ripening and efficient causes.

Da. If only co-emergent and immediately preceding causes have (the fruit of agency)? Others also have, this is extensively explained. For example, equal-share causes and so on also have, equal-share and pervasive causes also have the fruit of agency that arises immediately after, but not co-emergence. Why is it said that the fruit of agency is only possessed by co-emergent and immediately preceding causes? Co-emergence and immediately preceding arising are only possessed by those two, not by the previous ones. Not all equal-share causes have the fruit of agency that arises immediately after, because the death of an Arhat is unreasonable. Co-emergent and immediately preceding causes do not deceive. Some agent causes have the fruit of agency, but not all. It is said that it excludes the ripening cause. Why? Because the fruit of agency is either co-emergent or immediately preceding, but ripening is not like that. It only depends on the continuum, not immediately preceding or simultaneous. Others say that there is also extensive explanation there, for example, agricultural activities are the same, fields and so on are equally abundant, some people's grains and so on will be abundant, but some people's will not. Therefore, not only co-emergent and immediately preceding causes, but equal-share also has the fruit of agency. The determination of cause and effect has been explained. Now we must explain the characteristics of the fruits, therefore it is said what is the ripening fruit and so on. Ripening is unindicated dharma. It means that ripening is only unindicated dharma, and only said to be sentient beings, this must be determined. Not only ripening is said to be sentient beings. Therefore, in order to clarify arising from concordant causes and arising from increase, it is said that prophecy arises later.

Since it arises after the prediction, it is a later arising prediction. The mention of "unobscured and unpredicted" is to clarify the view of the perishable collection and the view of clinging to extremes. These two views are what the Mind-Only school teaches, and they are later arising predictions. But "unobscured and unpredicted" is not, therefore it is not a result of maturation. If that is the case, then, the great elemental increase of the senses, which is also caused by abiding in the distinction of meditative absorption, is also a later arising that is unpredicted, and is unobscured and unpredicted, and is called a sentient being, therefore it will become a result of maturation. If that is the case, then the establishment of what arises from increase and the result of maturation will be confused, right? There is no confusion, because the cause of maturation and its result are not different places, nor are they simultaneous. The eighth great element of the senses, and abiding in the distinction of meditative absorption, are simultaneous, and the two are in different places, therefore it will not lead to the great elemental increase of the senses becoming a result of maturation. Precisely for this reason, it is said, "Whatever arises from it at a later time," not simultaneously with it. If that is the case, then it will also lead to the emanation mind, because it also arises from the mind of abiding in virtue, and is not unobscured and unpredicted, nor is it called a sentient being, right? Therefore it is said, "not immediately after." Immediately after, because it is drawn by the power of the similar immediately after. The emanation mind also arises immediately after the mind of abiding, therefore the result of maturation is not like that. Why is it said that it does not refer to the meaning of being called a sentient being? It will be explained in detail, although being born from karma is the same, only what is referred to as a sentient being is a result of maturation, what is not referred to as a sentient being is not, what is the reason for this? Therefore it is said, "because it is uncommon," and so on. The result of maturation is uncommon, meaning that it arises only on the cause that has the cause of maturation.
