They will depend on each other, like a horse and a halter. Here, its own nature is "Saints, I..." etc., which shows that this is to be understood through the scriptures. The Sutra masters say that not only is the cessation caused by individual analysis, but all unconditioned dharmas do not exist as substances. Like form and feeling, etc., just as form is a different thing from feeling, etc., and feeling, etc., are also different from form, so unconditioned dharmas are not unconditioned dharmas, nor are they mutually different things, therefore they do not exist as substances. So what is it? Merely the absence of touch is space, and the word "merely" here is to prevent other things, and what was not touched before, or what is not touched after destruction, is called space. Just like in the dark, this establishes the tenet. If it cannot be found, it is said, "If it is not encountered, it is space." "Subtle increase and birth having ceased" etc. are extensive explanations, and subtle increase and birth having ceased etc. have all ceased. Since other conditions are not complete, they will not arise, therefore it is said, "By the power of individual analysis," the cessation caused by individual analysis in which subtle increase and other births do not arise is called cessation by individual analysis. Therefore, in that case, the realms of nirvana with remainder and without remainder will be shown to be cessation by individual analysis. In this way, the cessation of the two truths is cessation by individual analysis. Among them, subtle increase is the truth of origin, and birth is the truth of suffering. The seeds of afflictions such as desire are extinguished, and because there is no cause, by the power of individual analysis, the basis that is contrary to the arisen afflictions is obtained, and the subtle increase of future afflictions such as desire does not arise, which is the cessation of afflictions. Similarly, the present birth ceases, and only by the power of individual analysis, it no longer connects to the birth of future existence and does not arise, which is the cessation of birth. For example, the following is an extensive explanation: only without individual analysis, causal food etc...

Because it is incomplete, the remaining similar types of death in the intermediate state do not arise, and this is not cessation through non-discrimination. Other schools say that because it contradicts the predispositions of afflictions and the dependent arising that follows, and because of the arising that contradicts the arising of afflictions, subtle ones do not arise and have the power of wisdom. Therefore, this is cessation through discrimination. Whatever suffering does not arise, because there is no action of wisdom, it is not cessation through discrimination. This is because the cause of suffering arising is obtained due to the incompleteness of afflictions, so here it is not cessation through discrimination. That's what they say. Also, without discrimination, that is to say, suffering does not arise either. Because the cause is incomplete, it is the manifestation of discrimination, so it cannot be established without discrimination, so it is only cessation through discrimination. 'Because of its own and others' cessation' means the cessation without wisdom. If that is the case, then cessation through discrimination is only cessation through impermanence. 'If it is not destroyed, then it does not exist' means that its own and others' cessation does not exist. If cessation through discrimination also has discrimination preceding it, wouldn't it become impermanent? Afflictions and non-arising of birth have discrimination preceding them. Therefore, cessation through discrimination will also become impermanent. It will not become impermanent, why? Because they do not arise, that is only what existed before. If they do not arise, that is only what existed before, then how can there be the power of wisdom? Therefore, it is said if which dharmas do not have discrimination, etc. Those without obstacles to arising, that is to say, because whenever there is no obstacle to arising, therefore, there is no obstacle to arising. Whatever things obstruct arising, that is the power of discrimination. Because relying on causes and conditions, sometimes they will arise, and because wisdom has arisen, they are the things that obstruct arising.
