It is not. That is the cause, and the other is not possessing the cause, but it is the meaning of being called the effect. Simultaneously arising dharmas, such as the four great elements, mind and mental events, and characteristics, etc., if one exists, then all exist, and if one does not exist, then all do not exist, therefore it is not reasonable to be the entity of cause and effect. For the time being, like the eye, form, eye consciousness, lamp, sprout, and shadow, things that arise simultaneously are not suitable as the entity of cause and effect, how can they be each other? It should be thought of as not existing. Therefore, mental events are not the simultaneous arising cause of the mind, and characteristics, etc., are also not reasonable to be the characteristic of the basis. Because of that reason, it means that because they exist and do not exist with each other, they exist and do not exist. If so, then "if" etc., the form, smell, taste, and touch, etc., that are taken as the cause, because they do not arise without each other, so if they do not exist, they will not arise, that is because they exist or do not exist with each other, they have such a relationship, therefore they will become mutual entities of cause and effect. The four great elements and the form, etc., that are taken as the cause, will also become mutual entities of cause and effect, because they exist or do not exist with each other, it is the reason for existence and non-existence. The corresponding characteristics of the mind, etc., when explained extensively, should be connected with "will become mutual". If there are no corresponding characteristics of the mind, etc., the mind, etc., will not arise. The word "etc." includes the corresponding characteristics of mental events, etc., and the things that are obtained and arise simultaneously. In the mind, etc., and here, the word "etc." also includes mental events and possessing attainment. Here, because there is no confusion about its nature, cause and effect are only reasonable for things that arise in chronological order, but not for things that arise simultaneously due to confusion, this will be clarified. If so, then "three sticks" etc., how do the three sticks rely on each other's strength to exist

Likewise, those co-emergent entities that abide by mutual force, being mutual fruits, are the cause of co-emergence. The form made by cause does not abide by mutual force and the force of arising, but what is it? It is by the force of its own nature. Likewise, it should be stated for others as well. Briefly, what are "these," when arising extensively? The three staffs do not abide because they are not momentary. What is it? As long as they arise in this way, until the condition contrary to them does not arise, the moments that abide in this way, with the preceding moment as the cause, the subsequent moments manifest and transform, and it is the arising of abiding. It is not only by mutual force that they abide there, but what is it? There is more to it, arising extensively. What is that? It is said to be the rope that binds the three staffs, or the nail, or the ground that supports it below. If so, it does not match the meaning of the example. By "also" in those, it shows the agreement. In those co-emergent entities, there are also other things such as equal-part cause. By saying "etc.," it means that pervasive and ripening, and the cause of action, etc., should be included. It is not a similar possessing cause, those are like ropes, etc., therefore the cause of co-emergence is established. Equal-part cause is similar. As it is said, the equal-part cause is only similar, it is not only the equal-part cause that is similar, because the pervasive cause is also similar. The fruit of equal-part, arising near and far, and nourishing, therefore it is the equal-part cause, the similar dharmas, those are also mutual similar dharmas, the good form is possessed by the five, up to the good consciousness is possessed between the five. The afflicted are possessed by the mutual afflicted, the unspecified are possessed by the mutual unspecified, thus it should be connected. Others say that the unspecified form, when arising extensively, because of having an object, towards feeling, etc.
