Of the phenomena born from maturation, these are those born from maturation. The remaining virtues and so on are born from the causal flow. They are not born from increase, because they are not form. The characteristics are also born from maturation of those born from maturation. The remaining ones are born from the causal flow. There are no phenomena born from increase, because there is no accumulation for non-form phenomena. The two samadhis without mind are the cessation samadhi and the non-perception samadhi, because they are included in the dhyanas and formless samadhis, so they are not maturation. Maturation is only the dhyana of birth and the two formless realms. It is also not born from increase, because it is not form. Non-association means non-attainment. Non-association of maturation cannot be maturation, therefore all three of these are born from the causal flow. What is to be expressed by these, the "remainder," refers to attainment, characteristics, samadhi, and non-association. What is the remainder? It is attainment, samadhis, the manifestation of non-associated sentient beings, the manifestation of sentient beings with characteristics, the manifestation of non-sentient beings, attainment, the nature of the three realms of those with characteristics, non-association, virtue, non-virtue, and neutrality, the nature of the three realms of non-association and neutrality, the virtue of those in samadhi, belonging to the realm of form, and belonging to the realm of the formless. Because "association" has been spoken of, the manifestation of sentient beings has already been spoken of. Except for the two cessations, because there is no association with what is not counted as a sentient being. How are virtue, non-virtue, and neutrality spoken of? Because "virtue and so on" has been spoken of. How are the nature of the three realms and non-association spoken of? Because it has been said, "The self-nature of those who belong there, the four aspects of those who do not belong there." All are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, etc.

It is for the sake of arising. It shows the nature of sentient and non-sentient beings, as well as the three realms and non-association. The mind's following is time and fruit, etc., and virtue, etc. That which is called virtue, non-virtue, and neutral. The samadhi without perception, called the final meditation, and because of the arising of virtue, it is said to be associated with the form realm and virtue. Because of the present, it is also shown as a sentient being, because it is said that it will be experienced after birth. The cessation samadhi is also called the peak of existence, and because of the arising of what is called virtue, it belongs to the formless realm, and it is said to be virtue. Because of that, it is also shown as a sentient being, because virtue is accumulated. Non-association is only the three realms, because it is said to belong to desire, etc., and stainlessness. Non-attainment is shown as a sentient being, because it is said to belong to one's own continuum. Unobscured and neutral is also because it is said to be unattained, unobscured, and neutral. The non-perceiver belongs to form, and is shown as a sentient being, and is neutral, and it is said to be the result of maturation, because it arises that the result of maturation is great. Life is the three realms. What is the life force? Because it arises that it is the life of the three realms. Born from maturation and shown as a sentient being and neutral is also because it is said to be the maturation of life. It has been said that non-associates are from the nature and the door of differentiation and analysis, it has been said that non-associates are. In order to connect cause and condition, it is said that there is no cause and condition, etc. What is said? If you ask what are the causes? What are the conditions? What is the difference between causes and conditions? Some say there is no difference, like this, the Bhagavan said that there are two causes and two conditions for generating right view, namely the voice of others and the internal reasoned attention.

It is said, "Precious." Therefore, causes and conditions, such as efficient cause and reason, are different terms. If there is no difference, why are they specifically indicated? It is in consideration of those to be tamed, just like realms and sources. In this way, conditions are indicated without distinction, while causes are specifically indicated. Others say that what is near is the cause, and what is far is the condition. "Efficient cause, co-emergent nature," This phrase, In the extensive arising, the two words "that nature" are to be included and definitively grasped in order, just like their respective positions, that is, both efficient cause and co-emergence, definitively grasping them as pervading all conditioned phenomena. Whatever six are used as terms in this treatise are causes. Because it enables attainment, it is a cause, meaning that it allows things to attain arising. Being the efficient itself is the cause, it is the efficient cause. Co-emergence is also it, and also a cause, so the cause of co-emergent phenomena is the co-emergent cause. The equal share cause is the equal share cause. The cause of corresponding phenomena is the corresponding cause. Pervasive going is also it, and also a cause, so it is the pervasive going cause. The ripening cause is the ripening cause. Furthermore, why are the causes not indicated by the Blessed One used as terms in this treatise? The Vaibhashikas say: It is not so, there is nothing not indicated by the Blessed One that is elaborated in the Abhidharma. If, because of ceasing, there is no observation by its own nature, however, due to the wishes of those to be tamed, from some aspects it is indicated approximately in other ways, merely seeing the seed, it is observed as existing, thereby clearly showing the Abhidharma. Like this, in that Sutra Pitaka, these causes seem to be combined. For example, relying on the eye and form, eye consciousness arises, this is the efficient cause, this is established as the nature of producing and not obstructing. Feeling, perception, and volition arise simultaneously, this is the co-emergent cause.
