Those thrown with little force, these are the two categories of throwing. Those thrown and, those not thrown, great force and, those thrown with little force are those thrown and not thrown, thrown with great force and little force. Those such as vajras are those thrown and, not thrown, great force and, thrown with little force, because they are made like things. The word "etc." includes iron and, stones etc. From the difference in time of falling slowly and, quickly and, very quickly, those thrown with little force fall quickly, and those thrown with great force fall very quickly. That difference in time is the difference in time of slow and, fast and, very fast, from that difference in time of slow and, fast and, very fast. Those arising are those arising in vajras etc. In order to accomplish the difference of complete change, from the difference in time of falling slowly and, quickly and, very quickly, those great arisings of vajras etc., such as throwing, accomplish the difference of complete change. If asked how, when the unthrown fall, the moments in space become the cause of other moments of the same object, and the very few become the cause of other moments of different objects. When thrown with little force, those that are neither very many nor very few are the cause of other moments arising in their own object and other objects. Having power, those thrown are those very few in their own object, which are the cause of many other moments arising in other objects. Those that are not deceptive and are the cause of other moments in their own object and other objects, those differences should be acknowledged. Those such as vajras, for those who do not have the complete change as stated, the difference in time of slow and, fast and, very fast is not possible, therefore, for all actions, like birth, it is not contradictory to change into another itself. If the difference of action is light, heavy itself falls slowly and, quickly and, very quickly

If it is said that there is a difference in the time of falling, that is unreasonable, because that is the race, because the formations have been stopped, and because there is no difference in weight itself. If it is said that even in things like vajras, the later moment arises differently from the earlier moment, why is that difference not grasped? Therefore, it is extensively said that formations do not have peculiar differences. Those formations that do not have gross differences, but have subtle differences, those non-differences are not differences of grasping emptiness, because they are subtle. Therefore, they appear similar, like the ocean. Then, when the last moment of sound and flame, etc., extensively appears, if the later moment exists differently from the earlier moment, then at the time of the cessation of the continuum and at the time of complete nirvana, how is it established that the moment of sound and flame, and the moment of the six sense bases (སྐྱེ་མཆེད་དྲུག་), are not connected from one moment to another? If that is the case, the last moment of sound and flame, and the moment of the six sense bases at the time of complete nirvana, because there is no change of existence, then the established definition will become non-pervasive to all formations. Regarding "The definition of conditioned phenomena is..." etc., which appears extensively, In the sutra of the definition of conditioned phenomena, it is not only said that existence is the definition, then what is it? It is also the change of existence, and also the change of having the characteristic of the subsequent moment continuing. Therefore, for which moment existence is the nature of the fruit, that existence is existent, and there is necessarily a difference of the change of existence, but for which there is no existence, that also has no change of existence, for example, the last moment of sound and flame, and the moment of the six sense bases at the time of complete nirvana. Thus, for which there is no existence, its definition is only birth and death, thus it will be shown that the establishment has no fault.

If there is no change in what remains, then the distinction of characteristics will become non-pervasive. Because the last moments of sound and flame are also included in the continuum called "abiding." Because there is a change there, all three characteristics exist, and to show this, in short, the Blessed One has spoken extensively. The distinction of characteristics should be stated as described above. Now, how can it be elaborated that the basis of a characteristic is itself the characteristic? It is said that only the dharma arises from what has not arisen, and after arising, it does not arise again, and that a different kind of result arises from the cause, which is called change. If it is admitted that the basis of the characteristic is its own characteristic, then it is not reasonable, because one thing indicates another, like fire and smoke. Therefore, if the basis of the characteristic of things is not its own characteristic, then how is it? For a while, it is elaborated, saying how. A great man and a bull are the nature of a collection, and the characteristics of a great man, and the scrotum and so on, are the nature of the collection. According to the Vaibhashikas, although the collection is not different from the collection, even if there is no difference, it is the characteristic of the great man's greatness and the bull's bullness. A great man is not just a characteristic. If a great man is just a collection, then he arises from what has not arisen, and after arising, he disappears. When a dharma arises or ceases, the retinue also arises or ceases, like the mind and mental factors, and the elements and the derivatives, which arise and cease together. Therefore, just as the characteristics of a great man are called a great man, and the characteristics of a great man, so too the dharma of conditioned phenomena is the characteristic of conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, that is, the characteristic of arising and so on.
