It is not appropriate to think that there should be differences in time for moving quickly, very quickly, and extremely quickly in other places. Because for fabrication, there is no difference in engaging in work. Moreover, the karma produced by very clear fabrication does not simultaneously suppress many material realms, because it is gradual and has a part of the smallest particle related to its own basis, and is the cause of complete purification. The Vaibhashikas say that there is another substance called "life," because it appears mixed with the heat of life, and for a non-existent substance, mixing is unreasonable. Furthermore, statements such as "it is only the exhaustion of lifespan" will appear. If asked, "Or is it the case in other situations as well?" the meaning is: even if there is lifespan, it is due to other reasons. Through the word "imputation," it is shown that even if there is lifespan, there will be death. The first case is that of the fruition of lifespan, but not the fruition of enjoyment, because the root of life thrown by karma is completely fulfilled, so it is the complete exhaustion of the karma of the fruition of lifespan. The second case is that of the fruition of enjoyment. It is connected to "from the complete exhaustion of karma," and is not the fruition of lifespan. The third case is both, that is, the fruition of lifespan and enjoyment, connected to "from the complete exhaustion of karma." The fourth case is that the karma of the fruition of lifespan and enjoyment, although not exhausted, will not completely abandon reappearance, because of the cause of acting carelessly. Like a lamp, sometimes the extinguishing of the lamp is due to the wick being exhausted, sometimes it is due to the oil being exhausted, but not due to the wick being exhausted. Sometimes both are exhausted, and sometimes both are present, but due to wind and so on. It should be said that lifespan is abandoned by karma. It should not be said, because it belongs to the first case. At that time, any karma that is a fruition will become a fruition of enjoyment, therefore death is only due to the exhaustion of lifespan. If lifespan is exhausted, it will appear in detail, and if enjoyment is exhausted, even if there is lifespan, it will depend on enjoyment.

When one dies from the exhaustion of life, if there were power, there would be no reversing it when life is exhausted. To die from the exhaustion of enjoyment, it is because of that power. The third possibility of dying from the exhaustion of both is not reasonable. Therefore, from the perspective of existence, it is said that one dies from the exhaustion of both. It is not the case that one has the power to die from the exhaustion of merit when life is exhausted. Furthermore, in order to show that there is untimely death through the means of other treatises, the 'Entering into Wisdom' elaborates on this. Someone does not understand and asks how this explanation shows untimely death, which is actually asking what the meaning of this explanation is. Regarding the statement 'harmful to the body,' except for those who are in the absorption without cessation of perception, the actions of those who engage in desire cause harm to the body. Therefore, their lives are harmed by the harm done to the body. Because there is no life that does not depend on the body, life depends on the body. Regarding the statement 'this is the first,' from 'desire is action' up to 'it should be said that it depends on the body,' this is the first case. For those who engage in the form and formless realms, and for those in the desire realm who are in cessation and unconscious absorption, harming the basis does not harm life, because they have transcended the scope of harm to themselves and others. Therefore, for them, there is no continuous explanation of the state of being born like that in the intermediate state. Regarding the statement 'this is both,' from 'those who are in absorption' up to 'it should be said,' this is the second case. That which is accompanied by suddenness is the first. That which is accompanied by suddenness is through the means of harming the body, which means accompanied by obstacles. That which is without suddenness is the second, because there is no harm to its basis, so this is without suddenness and without obstacles. Therefore, there is untimely death, because it is explained that life depends on the body and is accompanied by suddenness. It is explained in detail in the Sutra, not only in the Dharma Abhidharma, but what is it? Sutra
