Things will increase greatly. If it is the cause of birth, if it is the cause of establishment, or if it is a distinction of the basis, all aspects are dharmas that are thoroughly examined. It is not the dharma of substance by the cause previously mentioned, but it is the meaning of establishing it as a term through examination. As for what is called "that cessation," what is called "having" is not having that cessation. Why? It should be understood as excluding. Whatever is expressed as the sound of having seeds is not excluded. The Vaibhashikas say that both attainment and non-attainment are only substance. From where? Because it comes from the sutras. It is like saying, "This person also has virtuous dharmas." In detail, it is as before. There is also reason. What is the reason here? Attainment is existing as a substance, because its fruit can be observed, like the eyes and so on. As for the three aspects of the three times, this explanation is something that includes specific exclusions. Because it says, "The attainment that is not prophesied arises together." Depending on the continuum of attainment, each of the past and so on also has three types of attainment. How? Among the past things, whatever follows like a calf, that which arises and ceases is the past. That which arises and does not cease is the present. That which has not arisen is the future. Among the things that arise now, that which arose earlier is the past. That which arises together is the present. That which arises later is the future. Among the future things, whatever is like the best of the herd, that which arises and ceases is the past. That which arises and does not cease is the present. That which has not arisen is the future. As for what is called "virtue and so on," it is not permissible for each of virtue and so on to become virtue and so on. Therefore, it is said, "In order." Again, why is attainment established like dharma? If it is not so, but is the opposite of dharma, is it not so? It would follow that one who is free from desire has non-virtuous dharmas, and that one who has completely cut off the root of virtue has virtuous dharmas. If so, then it would become that everything is unpredicable. It is not so.

However, just like an unspecified dharma, it would similarly extend to other things as well. Because it is unspecified, the attainment of defiled dharmas does not contradict the path. Therefore, those with defilements have not abandoned their own nature, so they are merely considered the same as dharma. The saying, "The self-realm of those belonging to it," lies in the fact that having depends on the one who has it, so the attainment of other realms is not another realm. Regarding this, for now, in the desire realm, those who are born in the desire realm and practice in the desire realm are those who practice in the desire realm. Those who practice in the form and formless realms are those who practice in the form and formless realms. Those who are born in the form realm and practice in the form realm are those who practice in the form realm, and the mind of emanation belonging to the desire realm is that which practices in the desire realm. Those defiled ones who practice in the formless realm are those who practice in the formless realm. Those who are born in the formless realm and practice in the formless realm are merely those of the formless realm. The saying, "The four aspects of those not included," is that the undefiled ones are not possessed by the existence of the desire, form, and formless realms, therefore they are those not included. Regarding this, the saying, "The cessation not by individual analysis is of the three realms," is because it is to be attained by the three realms lacking the complete causes and conditions, and by the power of birth, it is only the three realms. Those whose causes and conditions are incomplete are not due to the power of dharma, otherwise, the dharmas included in the truth of the path would not possess the cessation not by individual analysis. "Cessation by individual analysis," and so on, that which is attained by the path that operates in the form realm is that which operates in the form realm, and that which is attained by the path that operates in the formless realm is that which operates in the formless realm, this is definite for the non-noble who is free from desire. It is also undefiled. Why is that? Cessation by individual analysis, that is, that which is attained by the undefiled, is undefiled. The saying, "The truth of the path is undefiled itself," is because it does not belong to another path, therefore it is certain that it is attained solely by the power of dharma.
