It means those that are lost and the truth of the path. How does it not increase? This is because "it is not the object of the higher uncontaminated ground," and so on. In whatever thing, if views and existence are made by me, other subtle increases can also increase, just like dust accumulating on a wet cloth. The uncontaminated is not like that, nor is it the higher ground, therefore focusing on them will not increase on them. Which are the contaminated, and how they are contaminated, has been said. "The uncontaminated truth of the path," and so on. If merely blocking the contaminated, isn't it therefore known that this is uncontaminated? And why is this mentioned in the category of the uncontaminated? This is in order to refute the nominal contaminated and uncontaminated according to the Sautrantika school. Even if it is separated from the contaminated, there is no reason to be certain that it is uncontaminated. This is not so, if it is established in two categories, and blocked from the contaminated, it is actually known to be uncontaminated. If even without indicating it can be actually known, then the statement "conditioned phenomena are contaminated," even without indicating the unconditioned, it is known to be uncontaminated merely by that. Or, it is impossible to exist outside the juxtaposition of two categories, or, one should not say uncontaminated for the unconditioned either, this is not an answer. The word "path" means both worldly and transcendental paths are going, but here it is in order to distinguish it from the worldly path, so it is said "uncontaminated truth of the path." Therefore, it is said "truth of the path." The worldly path is only the path, not the truth of the path, because it is included in the truth of suffering and the truth of origin. Because it depends on what will be explained in the commentary, it is said "except for the truth of the path." Or, starting to create what is already established is for the sake of certainty, the truth of the path is separated from conditioned phenomena, it is already established as uncontaminated, but saying it again in the category of the uncontaminated is for the sake of certainty.
