Good and non-good, as well as the unspecified, have all been thoroughly explained one by one through the detailed classification of the realms. Mental factors have also been thoroughly explained one by one through their respective characteristics, the differences between each other, the definite number, and the detailed classification of the realms of desire, the first dhyana, etc. Which are their respective characteristics? Which arise together? This is explained in detail in the scriptures. Scholars who are proficient in the connection between names and the things they refer to can easily use terminology in the scriptures, so these names should be explained. Mind, intellect, and consciousness are said to be the same in meaning. Whatever is mind is also intellect, and it is also consciousness. There are only some differences in the way they are expressed. Good and non-good mean "manifesting and creating." The so-called "knowing" means arrogance, because it is the basis of "self-grasping." The so-called "consciousness" is because it can understand objects such as form. Some say that because good and non-good dharmas exist and accumulate in the form of habits, they are called "mind." The so-called "becoming a basis" means that what has just passed becomes a basis. The present is consciousness. Alternatively, this is a distinction made from the perspective of realms, sources, and aggregates. From the perspective of realms, among the eighteen realms, seven mind realms are shown. From the perspective of the twelve sources, the mind source is shown. From the perspective of the five aggregates such as form, the consciousness aggregate is shown. Mind and mental factors, basis, object, and aspect, etc. Among them, the word "also" is to introduce the statement "same meaning." What is referred to by the words mind and mental factors is exactly what is referred to by the word "basis." Having an object, having an aspect, and having a corresponding state are also the same. Therefore, relying on the senses, they are with a basis, that is, the eye and other sources.

This is because it relies on the six places. Because these have objects, they are with objects, because they hold the object. The so-called "distinguishing from each aspect" is because of holding from each aspect. If you ask: How does it hold? Consciousness is able to distinguish each aspect such as blue. How does consciousness hold the characteristic of the object itself? Feeling experiences. Intention thinks. The so-called "because of having commonality, so they are corresponding", is because of having commonality with others, so they are corresponding. Because of having commonality, so they are corresponding, meaning that some things are not redundant, nor do they arise together. Arising together means not having before and after. The so-called "with others", is because it itself does not correspond with itself, meaning that one's own nature cannot correspond with one's own nature. The so-called "with the same basis, object, aspect, time, and substance", means that the moments of the senses such as the eye, which are the basis of consciousness, those are also the corresponding basis of feeling and so on. Similarly, because all objects have no difference, so the objects are the same. Because all arise in one aspect, so the aspects are the same. The time when feeling and so on exist, the mind also exists, this is the same time. The so-called "same substance" refers to the same number. If someone asks: In some collections of minds, there are twelve mental factors arising, in some minds, there are twenty-two mental factors arising and so on, isn't it like this? Therefore, it is said "what is the same substance", meaning that just as the mind is one, the mental factors are also one by one, because there are no two same things meeting. The so-called "vast and differentiated", vast itself is differentiation, so it is vast and differentiated. Vast and together with differentiation is vast and with differentiation. First of all, the vastness and differentiation of the mind

The explanation is: The various consciousnesses are the various kinds of knowing. The mind-base is also like that, and so on, it has already been said. Starting from the feeling of the mental factors, up to the five mental factors. Now it is the end of the discussion of mental factors, and it is time to talk about non-associated formations, so wanting to explain its characteristics, therefore, it is widely said "non-associated formations" and so on. The word "and" is to include disharmony and so on. The word "also" is to definitely grasp, dwelling and obtaining and so on, are only obtaining, not different from it. These dharmas of obtaining and so on are non-associated. With what is it non-associated? It should be combined with the mind. It should be said that it is non-associated with the mind, like the mental factors, it does not enter into the object together with the mind, that is the meaning. Saying that it is non-associated with the mind, mentioning the mind, is to understand that it is of the same kind as the mind. What is it that they are of the same kind as the mind? These are not form. Therefore, form is not of the same kind as the mind, so it does not get the name of non-associated, only the same as it can be associated, then it is said to be non-associated, not non-associated with form. Mental factors are also of the same kind as it, so definitely grasp that there is no object, to explain it, so it is said again non-associated. Unconditioned is also of the same kind as it, and there is no object, to exclude it, so it is said formation, therefore it is said: These formations are neither associated like the mind, nor are they the nature of form. It will be shown like this: It cannot be said to be non-associated formations only because it is non-associated with the mind. Then what is it? Whatever is a formation, but is not the nature of form, nor is it associated like the mind, those are called non-associated. Here, mentioning the mind is because it is the main one, not only non-associated with the mind. If it is not like this, then the mind
