Here, it is to prevent association with the few, not association with the many. One who has completely severed the roots of virtue is called 'without virtue' because they do not possess all virtuous qualities. It is not possible for one who has completely severed the roots of virtue to be free from desire in the desire realm. Therefore, it is said, 'with the five feelings.' Other than the desire realm, there is no one who has completely severed the roots of virtue. In the desire realm, the physical faculties are also not confused. Therefore, it is said, 'body.' Feeling is experience, because it is feeling, this is called the question of the agent, that is, the agent. Or, feeling is feeling, this is called establishing the entity. Showing knowing, like calling the perfect one perfect. Because it is without virtue, it is also not associated with faith and so on, and with the stainless ones. It is also not associated with those who have not attained the ultimate of the male faculties such as the eyes, and with the diminished ones. The formless child is also the same. Having said that, the word 'same' is only connected with the number, not only with those who are associated with non-virtue. Therefore, it is said, 'equanimity, life, mind, virtues.' Child, refers to the name of the ordinary person, how is this understood? Because it is said in the sutra, the Blessed One extensively said to the monks, the child ordinary person who does not possess hearing, who constantly falls, is 'I' and 'mine.' That is because they do not know what should be done and what should not be done, like a child, therefore it is called a child. If, because it is solely virtuous, saying virtue, then it should be understood to include faith and so on, because saying virtue is only virtue, not non-virtue and unspecified. It will also be overly inclusive of all perceptive faculties and so on, because they are also solely virtuous like faith and so on. It should not be so, because this is the case of the eight. The non-virtuous one is associated with a few evils, associated with the body, feeling, life, mind, eight. Here it says

It is spoken in terms of realms. If those are held, then it becomes eleven, not eight. Because it is the stage of a child. The so-called child refers to an ordinary being, because it is said that an ordinary being has not obtained the noble Dharma. Therefore, the roots that perform complete knowledge, etc., are not held. Or, in the formless realm, there is no root that performs complete knowledge. Also, where does one possess many roots? This is extensively explained. One with characteristics does not have uncontaminated Dharma, so he does not possess roots that perform complete knowledge, etc. A hermaphrodite certainly does not possess nineteen, this is spoken in terms of existence. What is it to be complete in faculties? It is to possess the ultimate attainment and non-decline of the male faculty, such as the eye. Because it is a hermaphrodite. Because the roots of virtue are not completely severed. Because there is no detachment from desire in the desire realm, one possesses faith, etc., the five feelings, life, and mind. The so-called noble one with attachment, the noble one is mentioned to distinguish him from an ordinary being, because he does not possess uncontaminated faculties. The so-called with attachment is to distinguish him from the detached, because he does not possess unpleasantness. Except for the single-sexed and the two immaculate ones. The so-called single-sexed is the male or female faculty. Why are they not included? Because the noble path does not arise in a hermaphrodite. If one abides in the path of seeing, therefore, the faculty of complete knowledge and the faculty of complete knowledge with possession are not included, because that itself is the path of cultivation and the path of no more learning. Or, if one abides in the path of cultivation, therefore, the faculty of performing complete knowledge and the faculty of complete knowledge with possession are not included, because those are the path of seeing and the path of no more learning. The extensive distinctions of the faculties are explained. How is it? It is said to come along with the extensive distinctions of the realms. Among the eighteen realms, what are the faculties? The faculties
