How then does one become a predictor of the Abhidhamma? The teacher elaborately stated "what," and if one does not know "what," and says to speak of the path, would that not confuse the path? I thought that it was asked through prayer. Just as saying "speak of the path" would become saying "which path," so saying "please teach the Dharma" would become saying "which Dharmas." "Because the question itself predicts it" means that if there are many Dharmas, then merely by asking "which should be spoken" it predicts those Dharmas, because it predicts that there are many Dharmas. "How is it not predicting by asking?" is a synonym for "predicting is by asking." In this regard, from "these two are not even slightly asking, but merely praying" to "how does one become a predictor" is not reasonable. The teacher elaborately stated "only from the Sutra," this Sutra is distinguished from ordinary words and is considered a beautiful composition and is recited. Having done the action to be contemplated, what will be distinctly and accurately experienced? Is it pleasure or pain? Or something that is neither pleasure nor pain? If asked in that way, because the actions to be contemplated are different, such as virtue, by doing the virtuous action to be contemplated (with outflows), one will distinctly and accurately experience pleasure or neither pleasure nor pain. By doing the non-virtuous action to be contemplated, one will distinctly and accurately experience suffering, and it should be distinguished and predicted. If one says, "I suspect that I am gross," that refers to form. The word "between" in the phrase "is life other, is the body other?" means the extensive occurrence of detailed distinctions, is the Thus-Gone one non-existent after death? Is the Thus-Gone one existent and non-existent after death? Is the Thus-Gone one neither existent nor non-existent after death? Is the body itself the life? Is the body other and the life other? All of these should be stated. Then

Therefore, saying "possessing it" means that one should know that this person is bound by that subtle increase, which is its definition. The so-called "self-nature afflictions," self-nature refers to attachment to things such as experiencing happiness, because they arise only in relation to things that experience happiness, they are called "self-nature afflictions." Because one is satisfied by taking things that experience happiness as the object of focus, pride is also an affliction of self-nature. Similarly, because anger arises by focusing on things that experience suffering, anger is also called an affliction of self-nature. Common afflictions refer to views and doubts, etc., because they are common or general afflictions, they are common afflictions. These arise indiscriminately in things such as experiencing happiness, therefore, the afflictions that arise in relation to them are called common afflictions. The so-called "past and near" refers to the past and what is happening now. The so-called "greed, anger, and pride arise in what things," appearing extensively is because it is declared without distinction, therefore these greed, etc., even if it is the sixth collection of consciousness, in any case, from what is abandoned by seeing suffering to what is abandoned by cultivation, the undestroyed greed, etc., that arise in the three times of things, are corresponding to the essence of those things, just like tying a calf to a stake with a rope. Because they are afflictions of self-nature, it is not the case that all beings will necessarily produce all of them, which refers to some beings producing some afflictions. Therefore, in "what arises is not abandoned," those are also distinguished, the reason for saying the distinction of "not abandoned" is because if the greed, etc., that previously corresponded to that thing is abandoned, then they no longer correspond to that thing, because after abandonment, it will not grow in that realm. The so-called "mind of those future with all," mind of refers to

The matter spoken of is the five aggregates of consciousness, which are called "other's self-nature" because they are placed elsewhere. This is to distinguish between desire and anger, because pride is undoubtedly of the mind. Those of the future are fully endowed with all five classes, the three times, and how self-nature is. Whatever contaminated object is not associated with desire by its own characteristic afflictions, nor is hatred associated with hatred, nor is pride associated with pride, does not exist. All future contaminated objects such as desire, which are objects of self-nature, are immeasurable. Other future desires and angers are only associated with future objects, because all minds and mental events are determined by the object, so the phenomena that arise only correspond to future objects, because the object of the five aggregates of consciousness is the present. It is said of other desires and angers, but not of pride, because: "Pride associated with what is to be abandoned by sight and what is to be abandoned, The realm of mind consciousness is this place." As it is said, pride is the realm of the mind. The five aggregates of consciousness, etc., with the word "also," show that it is not only the realm of the mind. Those unborn dharmas are fully in accordance with all things of the three times, and those unborn dharmas abide only in the future time, and their objects will change. The unborn dharmas associated with afflictions, like trees, only abide in manifesting towards the object. Thus, the unborn dharmas do not arise by focusing on the object. Therefore, some objects are in the past, some are in the present, and some are in the future. They are not unborn only because the object is unborn, but because the causes and conditions are not complete. The conclusion is that the aggregate has temporary consequences.
