Most meditators are also similar to this. To say that they are also transformed by the power of ignorance means that those three meditations are also due to the power of ignorance, because they are in accordance with ignorance, so they transform in that way. Therefore, ignorance is also the root of what is not explained. For those who enter into meditation, when these forms of affliction arise universally, it is the root, that is, the cause, of the unexplained dharmas. Speaking of the unexplained situation, and the fourteen unexplained things mentioned in the sutras, is to explain in detail, such as "Is the world permanent? Is the world impermanent?" and so on. If asked, "Are they because of the unexplained?" it means, "Are they neither virtuous nor non-virtuous, and because they are unexplained, are they shown as unexplained things?" It is said that for questions that should be put aside, it is called unexplained. It means that any question that should be put aside, neither predicted nor explained, is unexplained, and its thing is the basis, so it is an unexplained thing. By the way, there are four ways of asking questions, which will be listed in detail here: death, birth, and excellence, as well as self and other, etc. It means that, like death, like birth, like excellence itself, like self and other themselves, etc., like this according to the number, for predicting in general, etc., is an example. The so-called "will die" is to take death as an example for things that should be predicted in general. The so-called "those with afflictions will be born, but those without afflictions will not" is to take birth as an example for things that should be predicted separately. The so-called "depending on what to ask" is to take excellence itself as an example for things that should be predicted after asking. The so-called "Is sentient being other than the aggregates?" is to take self and other themselves as an example for things that should be put aside for prediction. If asked, "Will all sentient beings die?", the answer is "will die", which is to predict in general.

The phrase "should be answered thus" refers to what the Blessed One said: "Monks, people have short lives and must go to the next life, so good deeds should be practiced. There is no one who is born who does not die." It is like that. If asked, "Is there a sentient being other than the aggregates, or not?" the answer is, "It should be established." This refers to what the Blessed One said: "Gautama, what is this? Does he do it himself and experience it himself? Brahmin, this should not be predicted." "Does another do it and another experience it? Brahmin, this should not be predicted." If asked, "Does he do it himself and experience it himself?" it is also said, "This should not be predicted." If asked, "Does another do it and another experience it?" it is also said, "This should not be predicted." Gautama, what is the meaning of what you say? 'The Brahmin does it himself and experiences it himself,' this will become permanent. 'Another does it and another experiences it,' this will become annihilation. The Thus-Gone One understands these two and thus teaches the Dharma of the Middle Way." It is like that. Some say, "Venerable, not all will be born." This is also considered a one-sided prophecy. It means that it is not only the statement "all sentient beings will die" that is a one-sided prophecy. The teacher asks in detail, "Will those who will die be born?" When asked in this way, the answer is, "Not all will be born." If asked, "What then?" the answer is, "Those with afflictions will be born, but those without afflictions will not." It is necessary to distinguish and predict in this way. Therefore, saying "all will be born" is also a one-sided prophecy, which is unreasonable, and I think it can only be used as an example by the Particularists. The Venerable One then said, "There are also two kinds of people." That is, inferior and superior. These two situations are interdependent, so these two situations should not be predicted one-sidedly.
