Place Then they will die. Then, any sentient being who dies and transmigrates from that place, and comes to share the same fate as humans in this way, from "will come" to "will remember their former body," is the same as before. They will think, "I and this world arise from no cause," they will think. Therefore, "I and the world arise from no cause" means that they will think, "I did not exist before, but now I exist, so I and the world arise from no cause." Thus, when clinging to self and the world, since wrong views also cling to the desire realm, it is said that in them, views clinging to the desire realm will universally arise. Furthermore, how is it a wrong view that they think, "I and the world arise from no cause"? Because they deny with their minds that the cause of self and the world is previously done meritorious deeds with outflows or non-meritorious deeds. Those who are free from desire in the desire realm, in them, the views that practice in the form realm will arise, considering from the context of that statement, the afflictions that practice in the form realm do not not cling to the desire realm, because they have already separated from desire, so it is said. Some answer that those are not views that practice in the desire realm, but are evil knowledge. Because they are the nature of views, it is not reasonable in their view. The Vaibhashikas say that it is because they have completely degenerated, like Devadatta. For example, Devadatta, in order to make the Sangha of monks his retinue, requested the Blessed One to abide in his heart in a small body, and because he generated sinful thoughts, he completely degenerated from his miraculous powers, as it is recorded in the sutras. The sutra says this: Then, Devadatta was overwhelmed by gain and respect, alas, how wonderful it would be if the Blessed One would give the Sangha of monks to me! The Sangha of monks is mine.

After following, the thought arose: "The Blessed One dwells happily in the present Dharma, and also dwells in subtle samadhi." Such an evil thought arose. As soon as Devadatta had this thought, he immediately completely lost his supernatural powers, which is described in detail. Similarly, those (people) also completely lost (their powers) at the same time as they generated wrong views. To cling to these (dharmas) as self is because the notion of permanence and wholeness comes first. All wrong views, such as the view of the aggregates of destruction, are wrong views because they are based on wrong discrimination. Others consider it to be augmentation. If considering annihilationism is augmentation, then how is that? This teaching is nominally revered. Because the noble ones have abandoned it, that is, they have discarded it. The word "etc." is omitted, meaning that clinging to the aggregates of appropriation, such as views, as superior and primary is called clinging to views as superior. The Abhidharma masters say that adding the word "superior" can also make this meaning different. Because one clings to non-cause as cause, it is abandoned by seeing suffering. Because one clings to non-path as path, it is abandoned by seeing the path. Merely clinging to ethics and discipline means that ethics and asceticism, even according to the Buddhist view, can lead to liberation, but it is not just these, so it is the view of other (non-Buddhists). Here also the word "etc." is omitted, it is said that clinging to ethics and discipline etc. as superior is clinging to ethics and discipline as superior. Why? Because ethics and asceticism are included in the form aggregate. Therefore, in order to include other aggregates, it is necessary to say the word "etc." Why is it not abandoned by seeing the origin? It means that it is thought to be a wrong clinging to the cause. Also clinging to the cause of what has been done means clinging to a permanent self.

Is the author. It is also called "done alone." "Therefore, it will be abandoned" means that it will be abandoned only by seeing suffering. So, what about those who are reborn in the heavens by entering fire and water, etc., or who believe that they can be purified by discipline and asceticism? It means that if this attachment to cause is not caused by it, how can it be abandoned by seeing suffering? Therefore, it is thought that this can only be abandoned by seeing the origin. The Vaibhashikas say, "This is also to be abandoned by seeing suffering," which is explained in detail. Those who say, "Because of wrongly entering suffering" are the Vaibhashikas. If you ask, "How is it wrongly entering suffering?" it is because they think that doing so will go to heaven or be purified. The teacher elaborates on "This will become too extreme," because all contaminated things are suffering. Therefore, contaminated things, whether suffering, etc., are the nature of view, or not the nature of view, all of these wrongly enter suffering, so it will become excessive to be abandoned by seeing suffering. If so, then there will be nothing at all to be abandoned by seeing the origin, etc. It is also necessary to say others, or, because of clinging to discipline and asceticism, what other things need to be said that are abandoned by the path? Because, through the cow vows and other methods, from purification to obtaining happiness, and completely transcending suffering, this view, that is, clinging to discipline and asceticism, is also believing that non-cause is cause, so it is abandoned by seeing suffering. The thirty-ninth chapter. The Vaibhashikas say, "What is the object of what is abandoned by the path?" It means that clinging to discipline and asceticism, and what is abandoned by the path, targeting the eight wrong views, etc., these are abandoned by the path. The teacher said, "This is also wrongly entering suffering."
