From "only said not seen" to "not fully understood" was also not said. Similarly, if asked, "Isn't it that it was not said, which dharmas were not fully understood, only said not seen, and from not seen to not touched was also not said?" Answer: That itself has no fault. Because this is what the Blessed One said in the nature of a metaphor, so just as it was said, "Which forms were not seen," it should also be said from "not heard" to "not fully understood." Similarly, it should also be said for sounds, etc. Therefore, the definition is said in that way. What is directly perceived by the five senses, the detailed explanation is: What is directly perceived by the five senses, such as forms, that is seeing. Among all six objects, what comes from elsewhere, that is hearing. What is desired and thought through one's own intellect by way of inference, that is understanding. What is called inference by intellect is a non-erroneous inference, and its object is also the six objects. The sixth object, except for seeing, refers to the sixth object, which is dharmas, which is not expressed by the term seeing, but by the three terms such as hearing. Therefore, there will be no inference that there is no naming for smells, etc. Therefore, if the Vaibhashikas do not think so, then the reasons for saying such things are also unreasonable, because in other cases, smells, etc. will also be named. What is directly perceived by the eye is what is not of the five senses. What is heard by the ear and what comes from elsewhere is what is considered to be both. What is individually and correctly recognized by oneself is the happiness of the mind, etc., which is not samadhi. What is called understanding is only worldly samadhi, not transcendental, because this is the occasion of worldly terms. Thus, according to the Yogacara school, all six objects are also seen appropriately.

Named "Ba" Or, it is designated as hearing, realization, or discernment. Therefore, there is no fault in not designating names for smells, etc. The phrase "If the body makes other meanings understood" means, if the body's expression makes meaning understood, is that also lying? The phrase "If not doing" means not striving. The phrase "If doing with speech" is a synonym for killing others with words. Here, because killing is of the body, the non-revealing form included by substance is only the body, not speech. Here, there is also no revealing form of the body. There is, because it will be done by the body. Here too, lying is of speech, so it should be understood that the non-revealing form included by substance is only of speech. The phrase "two faults" means the faults of body and speech. Here, the sages, because of extreme anger in their minds, will possess the faults of the body. Taking the Uposatha as an example, it will possess the faults of speech. Regarding the Uposatha of the monks, the Vinaya holder proclaims "Is it completely pure?" If some monks have committed transgressions but do not confess, and sit without saying anything, they will be lying. How do the paths of action of those two become accomplished? That is, how do the killing and lying of those two, the sages and monks, who do not act with body and speech, become accomplished as paths of action in order? The Vaibhashikas should strive at this and must answer. This is the conclusion. To this, the teacher Samghabhadra replied: The sages are actually performing revealing forms, because non-humans recognize that they have begun to completely abandon evil thoughts towards sentient beings, so through what do those who have faith in them, the paths of action of those sages arise, it is done through the body. If it changes through the revealing form of others? In such a case, the body and speech will certainly change.
