Just as the potter's wheel and the arrow's motion, what causes the difference in formation, and its cessation, are explained in the same way. The phrase "satisfied with having taken it up correctly" is expressed with words of abandonment. The phrase "not acting as taken up" means, for example, "not prostrating to the Buddha, not eating without making a mandala," if one eats without doing these, this explains the non-representative dharma of the intermediate state. The word "etc." in the phrase "swords and shackles, etc." includes weapons and poisons, etc. The phrase "when beginning to cut off all roots of virtue" means that it only explains the time when beginning to cut off all roots of virtue, not when completely cut off. The reason for saying "non-form of virtue" in "non-form of virtue" is that the explanation of form has already been given. The phrase "arising before the root is cut off" here needs to say that even from detachment, one should abandon a little, such as the unpleasant root, like virtue. "All" refers to acting in the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm. "What is the path of abandonment" refers to the path of seeing and the path of cultivation as appropriate, or the mundane path and the supramundane path. "This and its retinue" refers to this form of near affliction, arising together with it, obtaining, etc., and following after it. The reason for mentioning "the form of near affliction" is that affliction is also near affliction itself, in order to include everything, just as it is said in the treatise, for the time being, those that are afflictions are also near afflictions, and there are those that are near afflictions but not afflictions. "The afflictions of the two bases" are widely mentioned because the afflictions based on male and female are the majority, and the antidote to them is that the individual observation of cultivating their nature is unbearable, and because there is no strong sense of shame and embarrassment, so there is no discipline for them. The phrase "because it becomes an antidote" means, because of what? Discipline is what becomes the antidote to non-discipline, therefore to what.

Only those who possess vows do not have non-vows. This is the second reason why there are no non-vows for food and so on. The phrase "because there is no proper acceptance and samadhi" means that because there is no proper acceptance, there are no vows of individual liberation; because there is no samadhi, there are no vows of contemplation and non-leakage. The absence of these is because they do not arise due to attachment to virtuous things. Because there is no thought of doing evil, there are no non-vows. The phrase "with what is possessed and with what is not possessed" refers to the fact that for beings in the lower realms, shame and embarrassment, with what is possessed and with what is not possessed, become vows and non-vows respectively, because there is no great part of shame and embarrassment. If beings in the lower realms do not have vows and non-vows, then what is said in the Vinaya Sutra? And so on. The phrase "temporary and permanent" means that any desirable fruit is happiness because it temporarily liberates from suffering; and obtaining Nirvana is happiness because it permanently liberates from suffering. Because in complete Nirvana, there is never suffering. The Blessed One said, "Whatever is discriminated and analyzed here is the movement of the noble ones." Like that, isn't it said that the three contemplations are accompanied by movement? The word "etc." includes the explanation of the second contemplation: "Whatever is inseparable from joy here is the movement of the noble ones." And the explanation of the third contemplation: "Whatever is the mind's abandonment that thinks 'happiness, happiness' here is the movement of the noble ones." Furthermore, why is it said that "here, all virtuous actions performed in the form and formless realms are the very nature of immovability"? Because the phrase "the path that accords with immovability" is mentioned, that is, the word that begins with the path that accords with immovability. Furthermore, why is it said that the faults of samadhi themselves are accompanied by movement?
