Remaining in this is the seventh liberation, such as the gods who approach the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. Completely transcending the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, and abiding in the cessation of feeling and perception, having realized it with the body and perfected it, this is called the eighth liberation. The phrase "those with form contemplate forms" means contemplating external forms without destroying one's own forms. Because of focusing on distinctions and so on, it should be understood like impurity. The saying "impurity, non-attachment, the ten grounds, etc., objects of desire, thoughts created by humans are good" should be applied extensively. The phrase "according to number" means that in the desire realm, the antidote to the desire for colors that are practiced is the liberation of the first dhyana ground; and the antidote to the desire for colors of the first dhyana ground is the liberation of the second dhyana ground. It should be understood that these two are also antidotes for cutting off obstacles. How is it known that the second dhyana and so on do not have desire for colors? Because there is no eye consciousness. If one is free from desire for a certain object, then one is necessarily free from desire for the consciousness that grasps it. Since there is no eye consciousness and so on in the second dhyana and so on, it can be established that they are free from desire for colors. The phrase "formless samadhi virtues" refers to the pure and uncontaminated. There are also cases of non-samadhi, which is spoken of by considering the ripening mind and mental factors of the formless realms. In the former case, the so-called formless non-samadhi is shown to exist only in the state of death and existence. The paths of liberation that are close to liberation also obtain the name liberation, and the word "also" means that there is no need to mention the actual liberation.

to. "The uninterrupted path is not" is extensively explained as, "Why do those of lower realms turn their backs on liberation?" Therefore, the uninterrupted paths have lower realms as their objects, hence they do not attain the name of liberation. However, the paths of liberation have higher realms as their objects, hence they attain the name. "Cessation attainment is called the eighth" is a remaining phrase. "Because of turning away from perception and feeling" means that because of turning away from perception and because of turning away from feeling, it is liberation. Furthermore, because of turning away from all perceptions, it is liberation. Because of liberation from the obscurations of meditative absorption, it is liberation, which is the concluding statement. Among them, the obscurations of meditative absorption, what obscuration is it that, if present, the mind is incapable, so that even those who are free from desire for the three realms do not generate the actual basis of the first dhyana? "According to what is appropriate" means that the objects of the two are disagreeable forms such as conceptual constructs. "The object of the third is the disagreeable." "Their causes and cessation" refers to the arising and cessation of that suffering. "All the paths that are in accordance with the aspects of following knowledge" is the concluding statement for the higher realms, the lower realms, and one's own realm. "Non-discriminating cessation is also" means that non-discriminating cessation is also the object of the formless liberations, and it should be said that those who are formless, what is their sphere of activity and their own realm, suffering, etc., and the aspects of following knowledge, are not mentioned here. It is said, "What is the non-discriminating cessation that they take as their object?" Here it is said, "The signless samadhi of the non-learner takes non-discriminating cessation as its object, and those formless liberations are signless, because they are the nature of signless samadhi, it is possible." Those eleven, except for the seven access concentrations, are the desire realm, the powerless, and the special dhyana.

I. There are eight dhyanas and formless realms. The treatise is complete with supplements, so it is a definition of the treatise. Space is also one, it should be said. Space is the object of the sphere of infinite space. Because there is no desire for the color of the second dhyana ground, it means that the desire for the color of the second dhyana ground should be abandoned. Without it, it is because there is no eye consciousness. Because it is generated by the essence of happiness, the essence of happiness is a synonym for happiness above all happiness. Because it arises from it, because it is shaken, liberation is not established in the third dhyana. If there is no desire for the color of the third dhyana ground, why does the impure liberation arise? Therefore, it is said that for impurity, one should be very happy to shrink the continuum, or because it is constant. Liberation, etc., the word "etc." includes the overcoming places, etc. What is the miracle of the noble ones? Combine the context for the sake of realization. In order to prolong afflictions, because liberation, etc., are the antidote to prolonging afflictions. In order to be able to freely enter into samadhi, being able to freely enter into samadhi is also for the purpose of realizing the merits of non-affliction, etc. That is, through it, things are completely transformed, blessed, and life is given up, etc. Among them, completely transforming things means that things become exactly as one wishes, such as wanting to turn gold into earth. Blessing means hoping that the thing indicated can last until this time. Giving up life is also the same. The word "etc." includes putting Mount Sumeru into a dust particle, etc., and others should be learned from the sutras. Why do only the third and eighth dhyanas need to be directly realized?
