These are the minds that wish all beings to be happy, along with the retinues that arise from those minds. Because this thought is not inverted, it is not an inversion. If you ask, how is it not an inversion? The answer is, because it is conviction. Conviction is conviction. Therefore, how does conviction understand just like that conviction? It must be completely determined that this is conviction and mental activity. If you say, what if it is unwholesome? This is because of clinging to inversion. No, because it is the root of virtue. This is not so. Why? Because it is the root of virtue. Again, if you ask, how is it virtuous? The answer is, because it is the antidote to hatred and so on. Loving-kindness is the nature of non-hatred, so it is the antidote to hatred. Compassion is the aspect of eliminating suffering, so it is the antidote to the harm of afflicting those who are close to suffering. Joy is the nature of mental happiness, so it is the antidote to unhappiness. Equanimity is abiding in the middle state, so it is the antidote to desire and attachment to desire, and to hatred. The "object" in that refers to those who are focused on sentient beings who act in the desire realm. This indicates that the container indicates dwelling in the container, meaning that the container indicates the world of sentient beings. Because it speaks of meditative stabilization and non-meditative stabilization, as well as the main practice and preparatory practice, it is said that this is an explanation of the causes of the sixth, fifth, and tenth grounds respectively. Among them, non-meditative stabilization is the desire realm, and preparatory practice is the near attainment, which should be applied accordingly. For the establishment of the sixth ground, it is also thought that there is no situation where near attainment is not possible, because it is similar to the main practice in terms of clarity. For the establishment of the previous grounds, some only take the main practice, because the special dhyana is the special feature of the first dhyana of the main practice. For the establishment of the tenth ground, it is also thought that non-meditative stabilization is also the desire realm, and the near

If these are also considered as preliminary stages, then what need is there to mention the actual stages? Because it is the basis of actual meditation, this means that the actual stage is the basis of pure meditation. It has already been said that pure meditators do not abandon afflictions through speech. Because they focus on faith and understanding, they do not abandon these afflictions. If they focus on Suchness, they can abandon afflictions. Because they focus on sentient beings, they do not abandon afflictions. Focusing on the general characteristics of Dharma can abandon afflictions, this is the conclusion. So, how is it? "Through their practice" This sentence explains in detail that through the practice of love, etc., hatred, etc., can be suppressed. The so-called "said to be their antidote" means that it is said to be the antidote to hatred, etc., and these are the abandonment of antidotes. The so-called "to prolong abandonment" means that, like this, the uninterrupted path of the world or beyond, abandoning afflictions and near afflictions such as hatred, etc., these (love, etc.) prolong it. Therefore, it is said to be their antidote. How to prolong it? It shows that the three of love, etc., are the basis of the desire realm and the basis of unobstructedness, similar to the actual immeasurable mind. Because the practice, object, aspect, and nature are the same, they are the same as the actual. Through these three immeasurable minds, these afflictions are suppressed, and the uninterrupted path of the path of abandonment is completely abandoned. The so-called "even if encountering a powerful cause" means that even if encountering a powerful cause of hatred, etc., these afflictions will not invade through manifestation. "For the great" refers to the side of the friend, because it is easy to generate love for the side of the friend. The so-called "expansion" is universal. "Through the manifestation of the fruits of previous merit and non-merit" means that through the manifestation of the fruits of previous merit, people are kind.

If all roots are severed, then by what means can one consider that this person has performed the merit that makes the body and so on perfect? One can grasp the qualities. For a Pratyekabuddha, by what means can one consider that this person has undoubtedly performed non-merit that lacks such a body and so on? One can grasp the faults. If one can be liberated from suffering, one rejoices and applies compassion. If one becomes exceedingly happy, one rejoices and applies joy. The so-called lack of joy is because there is no inner happiness in the third and fourth dhyanas. The so-called eight liberations are as stated in the sutras. How so? There are eight liberations. Which eight? One who has form contemplates forms, this is the first liberation. One who perceives no-form contemplates external forms, this is the second liberation. One who realizes the beautiful liberation with the body, dwells in completion, this is the third liberation. Completely transcending all perceptions of form, the perceptions of resistance cease, and not thinking of various perceptions, thinking that space is infinite, abiding in the completion of the sphere of infinite space, this is the fourth liberation. For example, the gods who approach the sphere of infinite space. Furthermore, completely transcending all spheres of infinite space, thinking that consciousness is infinite, abiding in the completion of the sphere of infinite consciousness, this is the fifth liberation. For example, the gods who approach the sphere of infinite consciousness. Furthermore, completely transcending all spheres of infinite consciousness, thinking that there is nothing at all, abiding in the completion of the sphere of nothingness, this is the sixth liberation. For example, the gods who approach the sphere of nothingness. Furthermore, completely transcending all spheres of nothingness,
