It is like being happy to see someone you don't know, and being unhappy because you are alone and empty. Fiftieth-ninth fascicle. Focusing on the aspect of impermanence is one of the ten aspects. The statement "it is also not suffering" is explained in detail as follows: the absence of outflows is not its nature, therefore it is not focused on as suffering, because it is inconsistent with the noble ones, it is considered suffering. The absence of outflows is not its nature, therefore it is also not the nature of cause and origin, nor of arising and condition, because the absence of outflows is the nature of non-arising, etc., this is the concluding statement. It is also not in the aspects of the path, because it is to be refuted. That is to say, if the non-learning samadhi is to be refuted, then the aspects of the path are not the nature of refutation, therefore that samadhi is not focused on as the aspects of the path. The aspects of cessation are not considered because they are unrelated. The remainder is only the aspect of impermanence. The statement "unexamined cessation" means that with individual unexamined cessation, the non-learning signless samadhi, with individual unexamined cessation, thinks "this is peace" and focuses on peace. So, what is its individual unexamined cessation like? When one arises from the non-learning signless samadhi, what are the subsequent moments with outflows and other moments without outflows? If those did not occur, then the moments of non-learning signlessness would occur. When those with outflows and other without outflows arise, those moments of non-learning signlessness, because the conditions are not complete, will become individual unexamined cessation, and for that individual unexamined cessation, one focuses on the aspect of peace. Because there is no individually examined cessation for the outflowless, one does not focus on individually examined cessation. Why is there no individually examined cessation for the outflowless? Because there is no inconsistency, whatever is inconsistent with the noble ones, in order to separate it, one strives. Separation also

It is cessation through discrimination. Therefore, there is no cessation through discrimination in the undefiled. Furthermore, since there is no cessation through discrimination in the non-learning, signless samadhi, and because non-discrimination cessation would also be attacked for that reason, therefore, merely wanting to refute it because of liking it. Focusing solely on non-discrimination cessation, even in the world, there are instances of colluding with enemies to kill those who should be killed. 'It is not in the aspect of cessation, excellence, and definite emergence,' this is because it is common with the cessation of impermanence itself. Its nature is just that, it is common with the cessation of impermanence itself. Therefore, one does not fixate on the aspect of cessation in this non-discrimination cessation. If it were not so, one would not fixate on it as being particularly superior in the aspect of peace. In terms of the aspect of cessation, the non-discrimination cessation would be refuted solely by the cessation of impermanence itself, and even if it were refuted, one would think that the non-learning, signless samadhi has not been refuted. Non-discrimination cessation is unspecified, therefore it is not in the aspect of excellence either. Excellence is virtuous, but not unspecified, therefore one does not fixate on the aspect of excellence. Non-discrimination cessation is not separation, therefore one does not fixate on the aspect of definite emergence, separation from all defilements is considered to be definite emergence from all defilements. Therefore, non-discrimination cessation is not a definite emergence from samsara, because although some virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas have non-discrimination cessation, their attainment has not ceased, therefore it is merely associated with them. 'Because of hating the noble path,' how does one hate? Because one turns away from it with aspects such as emptiness. 'For the immovable,' refers to those who possess the dharma of immovability, because they have sharp faculties, they have the power to generate it, but not for other arhats. In order for them to abide in bliss in the seen dharma, it is a place of universal attachment.
