Because there is no object, it is foolish, and because it depends on the mind, it is also under the control of others. The mind is not like that, meaning it is neither foolish nor under the control of others, which is a synonym. Why? Because it is the opposite. The obscured and unpredicted mind, when aroused in weakness, becomes extremely weak. Chapter Thirty-Two. Because it is encompassed by things, it is the path of karma, meaning the mind is for that purpose. 'The mind dwelling in the intermediate state is weak, possessing the function of discernment.' Among them, mentioning 'dwelling in the intermediate state' is to exclude those dwelling in vows and non-vows, those dwelling in vows and non-vows inevitably possess the function of discernment and non-discernment. Mentioning 'weak mind' is to bestow a powerful mind, because a powerful mind, when discerning, completely evokes the function of non-discernment. Mentioning 'unpredicted, what more to say' means that when the mind is weak, if one performs unpredicted actions, what more is there to say? Above, it was said that the mind dwelling in neither vows nor non-vows, if weakly performing good or evil, will not produce the function of non-discernment, therefore it will only possess the function of discernment, if one performs unpredicted actions, what more is there to say? Because there is no need to doubt that this will produce the function of non-discernment, it is very much possessing the function of discernment, and not the function of non-discernment. Explaining in detail 'except' means, except for the seven things of meritorious deeds arising from matter and the path of karma such as killing, because for those, even if one performs unpredicted actions, they will possess the function of non-discernment, as the sutra says, 'even if it is the cause, even if it is abiding,' from 'constantly without ceasing' to 'only the proximity of merit will arise' appears. Even the path of karma such as killing, if done with a weak mind, will also possess the function of non-discernment. Explaining in detail what a noble person is

The occurrence is that when a noble person transmigrates to a state of dullness, etc., or is born in the formless realm, if a manifestation has not yet arisen, or if the manifestation has disappeared, or if the manifestation aroused by an unpredicted mind has disappeared, then its attainment will no longer be connected. Or, if things like stupas are made, when that thing is damaged, the non-manifestation produced by it will also completely disappear, let alone the manifestation. Therefore, when a noble person transmigrates to another life, in those states, only the uncontaminated non-manifestation obtained in other lives is possessed, not the manifestation. Then, is it not possible for ordinary people to have this situation as well? It is indeed possible. However, because ordinary people are not eaten by ghosts, it is not discussed. For example, someone who has attained meditative absorption transmigrates to the form realm, without producing a manifestation, or producing a manifestation and then the manifestation disappearing. Or, this is said from the perspective of beings who act in the desire realm. Or, the noble person is explained in a metaphorical way, therefore, ordinary people should also be understood as similar to this. Therefore, in the intermediate state, because the mind is weak, if one acts, one only possesses manifestation. Here it is said that meritorious actions and paths of action arising from matter are excluded, because this statement is incomplete. In this way, the first and second situations are briefly explained. The third and fourth situations should be understood together. The third situation refers to being in a state of vows and non-vows, and being in the intermediate state, doing good or evil with a strong mind. The fourth situation refers to a certain ordinary person transmigrating to another life, and still not producing a manifestation or the manifestation having disappeared. The reason it is said to arise simultaneously is that the vows of meditative absorption arise simultaneously with the mind of meditative absorption. The so-called other manifestation refers to what can be understood. The so-called others, refers to coming from a person, refers to good.

The vows of monks and nuns, novices and novice nuns, laymen and laywomen, and the eight precepts of the fasting. The term "definitely entering" refers to entering the noble path. The five supports refer to venerable Ājñātakauṇḍinya and others. The phrase "Come, monk" means that the Blessed One said to the monk, "Come, monk! Practice the pure conduct!" As it says in the scriptures, "The Sugata, the protector, said 'Come,' and the hair fell off and he put on the Dharma robes." Admitting to being a teacher, the so-called "Mahākāśyapa," Mahākāśyapa, because of his great power, any form of a deity he prostrated to would disappear. He went to the Blessed One, thinking that it would not be good if this form disappeared, so he did not prostrate. The Blessed One understood his thoughts and said, "Kāśyapa, you should prostrate to the Tathāgata." After that, he prostrated to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One saw that he did not transform into another form, so he admitted, "The Blessed One is my teacher." Because he admitted this, it is said that he obtained full ordination. Being pleased by the question, the so-called "Sudatta," refers to Sudatta answering the questions, and the Blessed One was pleased. Because of this pleasure, he obtained full ordination. Promising the law of the preceptor, the so-called "eight laws of the preceptor," even if a nun has been fully ordained for a hundred years, she must prostrate to a monk who has just been fully ordained; a nun should not speak of the faults of a monk anywhere, and so on. By promising these, she obtained full ordination. It is said that one should receive full ordination from a monk and treat it as the property of a nun; every half month, one should request the teachings of a nun; one should not go to a place without nuns during the summer; during the disrobing, one should disrobe the two sanghas in three places; one should not speak of the offenses of a monk; one should not be angry about the occurrence of offenses; if an offense of the law of the preceptor occurs, one should practice pleasing conduct for half a month; one hundred years after full ordination.
