If, by knowing the minds of others, one becomes attached to one's own self-nature, just as, if by knowing the minds of others, one becomes attached to the mind of someone, then that mind that knows the minds of others will also focus on that mind, which exists. Therefore, in order to fully know oneself as the object of knowing the minds of others, if this mind that knows the minds of others only focuses on one's own mind, then that mind grasping itself is not reasonable, because acting on oneself is contradictory. The detailed explanation of all "knowing the minds of others" is to combine the words object, mind and mental factors, as well as the self-characteristic of matter, what arises in the present, the continuum of others, desire, and having form, etc. Saying "mind and mental factors" is to distinguish it from form, etc. Saying "matter" is to exclude conventional existence. Saying "self-characteristic" is to reject the general characteristic. Saying "arising in the present" is to separate it from the past and future. Saying "the continuum of others" is to clarify one's own continuum. Saying "having desire and form, and not having" is to negate formlessness and having form. The so-called "blocking the path of seeing" is because when abiding in the path of seeing, one does not directly realize knowing the minds of others, therefore it is not included in the path of seeing, because the path of seeing does not focus on the cessation of mind and mental factors. The so-called "focusing on the path of meditation" is a synonym for being included in the path of meditation. The so-called "not having emptiness and signlessness" means not having the samadhi of emptiness and the samadhi of signlessness. The samadhi of emptiness is associated with the knowledge of suffering, and the samadhi of signlessness is associated with the knowledge of cessation. Because the aspect and object of knowing the minds of others are different, it is not the knowledge of suffering or the knowledge of cessation, therefore it is said to be not associated with the two. Indirectly, it implies being associated with the samadhi of wishlessness.

Being endowed is said to be existence. Not being encompassed by knowing cessation and non-arising means not being encompassed by knowing cessation and non-arising, which means it is not the nature of knowing cessation and non-arising. Why? Knowing the minds of others focuses on the self-characteristics of objects and has the intention of universal discrimination and complete seeking. However, knowing cessation and knowing non-arising are not like that, so they are not encompassed by the two. The so-called unobstructed path being blocked means it is the path of abandonment, while knowing the minds of others is the path of liberation and distinction. Although they are ultimate truths, they rely on conventional truths, meaning they have the cause of ultimate truth, or they are ultimate truths because they play with ultimate truth. The two rely on conventional truths, and because these rely on conventional truths, the aspects of emptiness and selflessness do not exist. How do these rely on conventional truths? My birth is exhausted, and I will not know another existence after this, which is said in order. If these are without outflows, how are they such aspects? Through the power of those, through the door of subsequent designation, the words "by other knowledge" are superfluous. Why is it that the conventional consciousness arising after those enters into such aspects, so those have a similar cause, therefore it is said that the two rely on conventional truths, but in reality, it is thought that the two do not directly rely on conventional truths. Why is it that because of such a similar cause, it only enters by relying on the view of seeing that as self, so it is in accordance with the fourteen aspects other than the aspects of praise and selflessness. The so-called non-endowed mind is without outflows. Knowing through the door of reason means knowing without confusion, which is a synonym. This is a place, this is a basis, meaning these two are also aspects without outflows, and the so-called this is a place means this has the meaning of having essence. This is a basis.
