The term "for the sake of..." means that because it is similar to the path of abandonment in that it is common in Dharma in terms of object, aspect, and non-leakage. Moreover, through the accumulation of causes, they are also very great. For example, just as the uninterrupted path aims at the four truths, has sixteen aspects, and is without leakage, the paths of liberation and distinction are similar to it, and it is also because of its greatness that these two are different. The so-called "for going from high to high, or for entering without remainder of aggregates" means that the path of liberation and the path of distinction make the path go from high to high, or they cause one to enter nirvana without remainder of aggregates. Because they arise and cause one to enter nirvana without remainder of aggregates, these two are themselves the path, that is its meaning. Others say, "In order to go from high to high, one enters without remainder of aggregates. Therefore, these two are themselves the path." The so-called "for accomplishing nirvana" means that, like this, through it nirvana is accomplished, that is its meaning. Similarly, there are two kinds of easy paths: the easy path of slow realization and the easy path of quick realization. The so-called "because it is completely grasped by the limbs, and because calm abiding and insight are equal, it arises spontaneously without effort" means that being completely grasped by the limbs, and the equality of calm abiding and insight are themselves being completely grasped by the limbs, and the equality of calm abiding and insight. Because they arise spontaneously without effort, the path is easy. Because the dhyanas are completely grasped by the limbs, and because calm abiding and insight are equal, they arise spontaneously without effort, therefore that path is called easy. The detailed explanation of "because it is not completely grasped by the limbs" is that the formless samadhis and the special dhyanas, and the formless realms, because they are not completely grasped by the limbs, they arise with effort. Their respective calm abiding

I also arise from striving to cultivate insight. The formless absorptions and special meditations arise from striving to cultivate calm abiding. The formless realms also arise from striving to cultivate insight. Therefore, these formless absorptions and so forth are difficult paths. The so-called "slow to realize" means that because this person is slow to realize, it is called slow to realize, which is synonymous with "low intelligence." The so-called "quick to realize" means sharp intelligence. Or, because this realization is that of a foolish and dull person, it is a slow realization; similarly, because realization is that of a clever and sharp person, it is called a quick realization. The four mindfulnesses are mindfulness of body, mindfulness of feeling, mindfulness of mind, and mindfulness of phenomena, as has been said. The four right abandonments are: to generate desire to abandon evil and unwholesome dharmas that have arisen. To exert effort. To strive diligently. To hold the mind. To rightly settle. To generate desire not to generate evil and unwholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen, as before. To generate desire to generate wholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen, as before. To generate desire to maintain wholesome dharmas that have arisen, not to forget them, to cultivate them completely, to increase and expand them, and to realize them with wisdom, as before. The four legs of magical power are the concentration of desire combined with the activity of abandoning, which is the leg of magical power; similarly, diligence, mind, and the concentration of analysis combined with the activity of abandoning are the legs of magical power. The leg of magical power is synonymous with the cause of magical power. The five faculties are the faculty of faith, the faculty of diligence, the faculty of mindfulness, the faculty of concentration, and the faculty of wisdom. The five powers are the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of concentration, and the power of wisdom. The seven branches of enlightenment are mindfulness and discrimination of dharmas.

discrimination, diligence, joy, extreme pliancy, concentration, and equanimity, these are the correct limbs of enlightenment. Because mindfulness itself is a correct limb of enlightenment, mindfulness is a correct limb of enlightenment, until equanimity itself is a correct limb of enlightenment, therefore, it is the same up to equanimity, the limb of correct enlightenment. The eightfold noble path is: correct view, correct thought, correct speech, correct action, correct livelihood, correct effort, correct mindfulness, and correct concentration. The reason for saying "because these two have completely abandoned ignorance" is that because all the ignorance of the three realms has been completely abandoned, these two are enlightenment. This shows that the wisdom of learners and ordinary people is not regarded as enlightenment. Furthermore, in order, because one's own goal has been accomplished and there is no need to do it again, therefore, one realizes it as it is. Through knowing the cessation, I have completely known suffering, and I have thoroughly known it as it is. I have abandoned the origin, I have realized the cessation, I have cultivated the path, knowing it as it is, because of realizing it as it is, therefore, knowing the cessation is enlightenment. Through knowing non-arising, I have also completely known suffering, and there is no need to completely know it again, I have thoroughly known it as it is. I have abandoned the origin, and there is no need to abandon it again, I have realized the cessation, and there is no need to realize it again, I have cultivated the path, and there is no need to cultivate it again, I have thoroughly known it as it is, because of realizing that there is no need to do it again, therefore, knowing non-arising is also enlightenment. Saying "I have completely known suffering" shows knowing the cessation, and saying "and there is no need to know it again" shows knowing non-arising, therefore, it shows that both are those of sharp faculties.
