It is not complete, those who have not attained the cessation attainment are said to be liberated by wisdom. Because it is said that liberation comes only from meditative absorption, it is said that this is not completely perfect through the door of the senses. Because it is said that liberation comes from both aspects, it is said that this is completely perfect through the door of meditative absorption, and those who have attained the cessation attainment are said to be liberated from both aspects. What is meant by liberation from the senses and meditative absorption? It is complete perfection, because it is liberated without being combined with time, so it is from the door of the senses. Because it is liberated from both aspects, it shows that it is liberated from meditative absorption. What is the uninterrupted path that completely abandons obscurations? Because there is a path that does not abandon, there is an uninterrupted path that does not completely abandon obscurations such as transforming the senses. What is born first that is definitely liberated from the obscurations to be abandoned by it? It is that which is definitely liberated from the obscurations to be abandoned by the uninterrupted path. The special mention of "first" is because, for example, in the third moment, etc., the path of the same kind is considered a special path. Precisely because of this, it is said that the special path is any path other than those. Furthermore, if the word "first" is not mentioned, and it is only said that the path of liberation is that which is definitely liberated from the obscurations to be abandoned by it, then, from the moment of suffering dharma knowledge onwards, all uninterrupted paths, etc., are born definitely liberated from the obscurations to be abandoned by it. If everything becomes the path of liberation, then the uninterrupted paths, etc., will also become the path of liberation, so this is not desired. Therefore, the uninterrupted path, from the moment of suffering dharma knowledge, abandons the obscurations to be abandoned, from the category of obscurations to be abandoned by the path of seeing, to the category of obscurations to be abandoned by the path of cultivation, whatever is to be abandoned

Because of definitely being liberated from the obscurations, whatever is born in the very beginning is the path of liberation, but others, even if they are definitely liberated from the obscurations to be abandoned by it, are not. Whatever is other than those three, the path of application and so forth, is the distinguished path. From the sixteenth moment onwards, the characteristic of subsequent knowledge of the path, and similar to that, the seventeenth moment and so forth, whatever uncontaminated moments are, those should be understood as the very essence of the distinguished path. Furthermore, whatever is the extreme end of the wisdom of liberation, such as the knowledge of exhaustion and so forth, that should also be stated similarly. Whatever path causes one to abide happily in the visible dharma, or causes one to manifestly accomplish distinguished qualities, that is only the distinguished path. It is said that the path of application is that in whose wake the uninterrupted path arises, therefore it is evident that the path of application is the supreme of worldly dharmas. If one asks, in what is the path of forbearance and so forth, which is contrary to the system, included? It is said: It is included only in the path of application, because this is a long path of application, so it has a distinction from the supreme of worldly dharmas. Or, for the sake of exemplification, only the uninterrupted and the proximate are taught as the path of application. Fifty-second fascicle. Then, in order to go there, it is said that this is the path of nirvana, because in the world, wherever one goes from, that is known as the path, and from here also one goes to and proceeds to nirvana, therefore, it is shown that it is the path. Because this seeks nirvana, it is said that one seeks the path from the essence of language, therefore, whatever seeks and obtains nirvana is the path. If one asks, how are the path of liberation and the distinguished path themselves the path? Because those two do not cause one to obtain nirvana, only the path of application and the uninterrupted path have the ability to obtain it, those two do not, that is what is thought.
