Thus it is. In order to abandon afflictions, it is called Brahmacharya, which means that it is pure because it abandons many sinful and unwholesome dharmas. Its nature is Brahmacharya, which is the path of no outflows. How is it the wheel of Brahma? The wheel of Brahma is said to be turned by Brahma. Because it is turned by Brahma, it is called the wheel of Brahma. The reason for having the supreme Brahmacharya is synonymous with having the supreme path of no outflows. For example, the Bhagavan is also called Brahma, which was said by Jivaka. The reason for going quickly, etc., spokes, etc., is synonymous with the reason for going quickly, etc., and the reason for spokes, etc. The reason for going quickly, which is explained in detail, is that the path of seeing is likened to the wheel jewel, just as the wheel jewel goes quickly, so does the path of seeing quickly realize the truth with fifteen moments of mind. The reason for abandoning and entering is like abandoning one place and entering another. Here, too, the path of no interval is abandoned, and the path of liberation enters through the door of manifestation, or because of abandoning and entering other realms of truth. The reason for making the unvanquished victorious and the vanquished abide is like making the unvanquished villages and towns victorious and the vanquished abide. Here, too, the path of no interval makes the unvanquished afflictions such as the view of the aggregates victorious by cutting off their attainment; the path of liberation makes the vanquished abide through the door of arising together with the attainment of separation from afflictions. The reason for rising and falling is like sometimes rising and sometimes falling. Here, too, the paths of no interval and liberation repeatedly manifest, or the realms of suffering such as desire, etc.

Through the gate of antidotes, it increases and decreases in various ways. It increases by focusing on the form and formless realms, and decreases by focusing on the desire realm. The so-called "right view" and so on appear extensively. This is because one obtains samadhi by relying on ethics, and by obtaining samadhi, correct wisdom arises as it is. Therefore, right speech, the limit of action, and livelihood are like the center, because ethics is the foundation, so right view and so on depend on it to enter. Samadhi is like the circumference, because it holds others closely. Right view and so on are like spokes, entering each other like the spokes of a wheel. The so-called "from where" refers to the path of seeing as the Dharma wheel. Is this the self-assertion of the Vaibhāṣikas (Sarvāstivāda), or does it come from the scriptures? If it arises, the Dharma wheel is turned, because the sutra says that when the path of seeing arises, the Dharma wheel is turned. As it is said, the Blessed One dwelt in the Deer Park at Ṛṣipatana in Vārāṇasī. Then, the Blessed One said to the five monks: "Monks, for the dharmas not previously heard, by properly attending to 'This is the noble truth of suffering,' the eye arose, knowledge arose, wisdom arose, and clarity arose. For the dharmas not previously heard, 'This is the origin of suffering,' 'This is the cessation of suffering,' 'This is the noble truth of the path that leads to the cessation of suffering,' by properly attending, the eye arose, knowledge arose, wisdom arose, and clarity arose. For the dharmas not previously heard, 'I should fully know this noble truth of suffering by manifest knowledge and completely know it,' by properly attending, the eye arose," and so on as before. For the dharmas not previously heard, 'I should fully know this noble truth of the origin of suffering by manifest knowledge and abandon it,' and so on as before. For the dharmas not previously heard, 'the noble truth of the cessation of suffering'

That I shall realize through direct knowledge, is the same as before. For those dharmas not previously heard, the path that leads to the cessation of suffering, that noble truth, I shall cultivate through direct knowledge, is the same as before. For those dharmas not previously heard, the noble truth of suffering, I have fully understood through direct knowledge, is the same as before. For those dharmas not previously heard, the noble truth of the origin of suffering, I have abandoned through direct knowledge, is the same as before. For those dharmas not previously heard, the noble truth of the cessation of suffering, I have realized through direct knowledge, is the same as before. For those dharmas not previously heard, the path that leads to the cessation of suffering, that noble truth, I have cultivated through direct knowledge, is the same as before. Monks, as long as I have not, in this way, repeated three times for each of these four noble truths, and the twelve aspects of the eye have not arisen, and there is no knowledge, no intelligence, and no understanding, until then, I, together with gods, together with demons, together with Brahma, together with ascetics and Brahmins, together with gods and humans, have not been liberated and definitively emerged from this world of beings, not possessing, not having dwelt much with a mind free from perversion. Until then, I have not known that I have attained the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and have become a Buddha through direct realization. Monks, from when I have, in this way, repeated three times for each of these four noble truths, and the twelve aspects of the eye have arisen, and knowledge, intelligence, and understanding have arisen, from then on, I, together with gods, together with demons, together with Brahma, together with ascetics and Brahmins, together with gods and humans, have been liberated and definitively emerged from this world of beings, possessing, having dwelt much with a mind free from perversion. From then on, I knew that I had attained the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and had become a Buddha through direct realization. When this discourse on the Dharma was being taught, the venerable Ajnata Kaundinya, and eighty thousand gods, arose in the Dharma eye, free from dust and defilement.
