Non-defiled dharmas, unmanifested and unspecified, and wholesome dharmas with outflows, if there is a contradiction in explaining how to obtain defiled dharmas, then there is no contradiction with the path of undefiled wisdom. In order to explain the attainment of afflictions that are aimed at it, contradiction is unavoidable. Explaining attainment, and those arising that do not contradict ignorance by way of abandoning afflictions that are aimed at it, are also non-defiled. To this, if it is said that "it has completely transformed," this is also unreasonable. If this is so, then an argument arises here: the arising of defiled form is not to be abandoned by sight, because they are not defiled, just like non-defiled mind and mental factors. The Vaibhashikas think that the consciousness to be abandoned by sight is that which leads to entry. In order to separately list the answers with arguments and to conclude, therefore, the sutra elaborates on "the pervasive cause," that is, from wrong view to wrong discrimination, and even to the edge of wrong action. The sutra that is spoken is without contradiction. That which leads to entry is also that which follows entry, because it enters by looking inward and outward. "Five are those who follow entry," which means that five are only those who follow entry, which is certain, because there is no distinction. "The outflowless is not both," which means that it is neither that which leads to entry nor that which follows entry, because equanimity enters by looking inward. "It will not degenerate" means that it will not arise. "It is a single stream of virtue," which is a synonym for "it is a single stream of virtue." The Buddha Bhagavan is said to be an elephant in the sutra. How is it? The Tathagata, the illuminator, in the world including gods and demons, extensively proclaimed that body, speech, and mind do not commit evil deeds, therefore he is called a great elephant. Do not do evil

The term "not acting" is synonymous with "not committing sins." The phrase "not pleased by this" means that because this Buddha is not pleased, he does not go, because he does not go to those places. Even if it is said that he has "passed away," it is merely an extensive explanation of "abiding in equanimity," and so on. That is to say, even when walking in the four postures, he thinks he is walking; and even when staying, he thinks he is staying, because his mind abides closely to this, it is called constantly abiding in equanimity. The phrase "entering without effort" means without deliberate action or exertion. Because of entering without effort, it is entering without effort. Its essence is itself, and therefore it is for itself. Alternatively, the meaning of "not all that is abandoned by seeing causes entry" is that if one thinks that all that is abandoned by seeing causes entry, then everything would become like that, but not everything is so. What then? Only wrong views and the like cause manifestations to appear, but the view of the aggregates of destruction does not. Therefore, it is said that "not all cause entry," and it is necessary to specifically state, "like this it causes entry, like that it does not." The phrase "mind that is unwholesome and indeterminate" means that one must receive full ordination. With what qualities does the manifestation of the Pratimoksha vows, such as joining palms, of a mind that is unwholesome and indeterminate not become virtuous? Because the actions that follow it are unwholesome and indeterminate. The detailed explanation of "how does it cause entry" is that the mind that causes entry, like that which is abandoned by cultivation, the manifestation is also established in the same way, but that which causes entry is abandoned by seeing, it is not established in that way. Why? Because it is interrupted by that which is abandoned by cultivation. Just like that, that which causes entry and is abandoned by seeing is interrupted by that which causes entry and is abandoned by cultivation. How?

Well then, for example, previously thinking in the mind, "I should show others that there is a self," having thus determined, and then generating speech under it, causing the mind to look outward and enter, what is to be abandoned by cultivation, under which speech arises, accompanied by discrimination and examination, saying the words "there is a self," and so on, is like that. Therefore, it is said in detail, "How to enter," in this way, entering is what is to be abandoned by seeing, without a doubt, entering is what is to be abandoned by cultivation, then only good, non-good, or unspecified will arise. Due to its power, it is the distinguishing good and so on. Like this, it should be said, what appears in detail is: Like this, determined by others, it should be said, "It is said after comprehending from the all-pervasive arousal of the cause determined by what is to be abandoned by cultivation." "After comprehending from the all-pervasive arousal of the cause" is a comprehensive term. 'The three non-discernments' appear in detail, after briefly showing the three, "Vows, non-vows, and others" are explained in this way. That is vows, that is non-vows, so it is vows and non-vows. That is vows and non-vows, and that is others, so it is others by vows and non-vows, this is a summary of words. 'In order to determine the characteristics separately,' that is, the characteristic of a Bhikshu's vows is also different, and likewise, the characteristic of a Upavasa's vows is also different. Like this, "When abandoning five, eight, ten, from vowing to abandon everything, becoming a Upasaka and Upavasa, half a Shramanera and a Bhikshuni," it will be explained in this way. If it is eight aspects, then, whatever is a Bhikshu's vows, that is the Bhikshuni's vows, and so on, will be confused. A Shramanerika and a Bhikshuni also, a Shramanerika also, if the precepts change, is a Shramanerika, a Bhikshuni also, if the precepts change, is only a Shramanerika. If like this, a Bhikshu's precepts change, then the Bhikshu's vows are abandoned, and the Bhikshuni's vows are obtained.
