That which is called "seeing as it is" means that because there is no addition or slander, it is called "true as it is." Then, how can the world recognize painful feelings as three types: pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain? Because the nature of suffering can only be recognized as suffering. If it is said that "for small, medium, and large, etc." is spoken extensively, then, if a happy thought arises for small suffering, a painful thought arises for large suffering, and a neither pleasant nor painful thought arises for medium suffering, what should be done? In response to this, it is extensively said that "because there are also three types of happiness," namely, small, medium, and large are different. The so-called "for small suffering, etc." refers to small, medium, and large, etc. The so-called "the thought of great happiness, etc. will arise" refers to the thought of great, medium, and small happiness will arise, which is a summary statement. If you ask: How is it? For small suffering, a thought of great happiness will arise; for medium suffering, a thought of medium happiness will arise; and for great suffering, a thought of small happiness will arise. It is not reasonable for a thought of small happiness to arise for great suffering. Why? If a thought of small happiness arises for it, then that suffering will not become great. If a thought of great happiness arises for small suffering, then how can that suffering be small? Because it is experienced so clearly, it cannot be small. Because after neither suffering nor pleasure, it is seen that pleasure is experienced, it is said that "at what time it is born from the difference of smell, taste, and touch." According to your view, neither pleasure nor pain is medium, not a small state, therefore, it must be explained at that time, what has become small suffering, so that this thought becomes a happy thought. Therefore, happiness is only born from the power of the object, immediately similar to it

The power or equivalence of a small suffering is not directly caused by the power of a great suffering. Furthermore, if one thinks that a thought of happiness arises from a small suffering, then when that small suffering has not arisen and ceased, that is, when it has not arisen and ceased, because one is free from all suffering, a very strong thought of happiness will also arise. In this way, being free from all suffering, even if one is free from residual suffering, if one also wants to generate a thought of happiness, then one thinks that there is no need to mention being completely free. Manifest desire pleasure should also be spoken of in the same way, saying that just as pleasure arises from the differences of smell, taste, and touch, manifest desire pleasure should also be spoken of in the same way. How so? If a thought of desire pleasure arises from the small suffering of desire, then when that small suffering of desire has not arisen and ceased, if the thought of generating desire pleasure is very strong, then such a thing has not been seen either. "Feeling small," etc., is extensively explained. "Feeling small" is a synonym for "of suffering." "To experience and consider it great knowledge" means to be attached to it. "To consider it unclear in the middle" means to be attached to a feeling that is neither happiness nor suffering in the face of medium suffering. How can this be? It is a synonym, thinking that it will also be unclear for small suffering. "In the three dhyanas," etc., is extensively explained. In the sutra, it says, "There is a feeling of happiness there." Because there is happiness in the three dhyanas, the first, second, and third dhyanas, it will also become small suffering. Why? Because you want to generate a thought of happiness for small suffering. In the sutra, it says that above, that is, in the fourth dhyana and the formless realms, there is neither happiness nor suffering, so it will also become medium suffering. Why? Likewise, for medium suffering, neither happiness nor suffering

Because it is also desired to generate the thought of non-existence. Therefore, it is unreasonable to establish feelings such as pleasure for small sufferings, etc. If there is small suffering in the lower dhyanas, and medium suffering in the higher ones, how can this be established? Great Name, if form is, Great Name, if form alone is suffering, then there is no pleasure, nor is it associated with pleasure, nor is there mental pleasure, nor is it associated with mental pleasure. If the feeling of pleasure does not become the cause of attachment to form, then why is it said that form also has pleasure, and is also associated with pleasure? Just as it was said before. Therefore, form is also like this, it will become the cause of attachment. Saying "the cause of pleasure is not permanent," it should be said like this: if the cause of pleasure is not permanent, so there is no pleasure, then the cause of suffering is also not permanent, so there is no suffering either. Furthermore, the cause of pleasure is only permanent. How is it? In detail, it depends on the difference of the support. If only the object is the cause, then the cause will only become impermanent. The object is not the cause, but it depends on the difference of the support. Just like fire, this is the reason of meaning. For example, fire is the cause of the manifestation of the desired rice ripening, because the element of cooking, the composition of rice makes it ripen, it is the cause of delicious ripening. It is also the cause of scorching, so it is also the cause of non-delicious ripening. Which state of the cooking element it encounters and becomes the cause of delicious ripening, after encountering that state it will not be not the cause, this is the word of such delicious ripening. This is the metaphor of the actual meaning previously stated. In dhyana, how can the cause of pleasure not be permanent? From the first dhyana to the third dhyana, even if one enters samadhi for a long time, it will not become the cause of suffering.
