The reason for saying "obtaining the name of complete knowledge" is because it refers to establishing the cause as the result. And "the abandonment has also been explained" means it has been elucidated. If asked, how is it elucidated? It is mentioned as "from seeing the truth and from cultivation." This indicates that the nature of having the same entity is distinguished by the word "and," because of seeing the truth, and because of cultivation, so it is from seeing the truth and from cultivation, that is, from that cause. Among them, it says: "Those ten and seven, seven and eight, except for three and two views, greed and so on, are gradually abandoned by seeing, the four should be known as abandoned by cultivation." And so on, it elaborates in detail that afflictions can be abandoned by seeing and abandoned by cultivation. Seeing the truth is achieved through the path of seeing, and cultivating the truth is achieved through the path of cultivation, therefore, now what is to be said is whether these paths of seeing and cultivation are contaminated or uncontaminated? This is in order to closely connect the explanation of the path. The reason for saying "is the antidote to the three realms" is because if the path of seeing itself is a worldly path, then it will not become the antidote to the peak of existence. Furthermore, since the nine categories of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing are abandoned simultaneously, it is not a worldly path like the path of cultivation. Because the worldly path does not have the power to abandon the three realms and simultaneously abandon the nine categories of afflictions. If it is said that if the supramundane path has the power to simultaneously abandon the nine categories of afflictions, then the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation should also be simultaneously abandoned by the supramundane path, wouldn't that become a fault? It should be determined that only the supramundane path can simultaneously abandon. But it is not said that only the supramundane path can simultaneously abandon, so there will not be that fault. The reason for saying that the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation are based on something is because it has been explained, therefore even the supramundane path cannot simultaneously abandon them. If it is not like this, that is, if it is not intended to be explained according to the way of actual realization, then in the world, because the causes are seen earlier.

The cause has been explained before, and the truth of the origin will be explained before this as well. For example, mindfulness and so on, are like explanations that are in accordance with arising. Mindfulness of the body is like targeting it in a coarse manner, through subtle and coarse ways, or through the way the former and the latter become cause and effect, first arising, and then after that is mindfulness of feeling. After that is mindfulness of the mind. After that is mindfulness of phenomena. Thus, these are explanations that are in accordance with arising, and meditation and so on are similar to this. The word "etc." indicates that liberation and the spheres of mastery, as well as the spheres of exhaustion, etc., are also explanations that are in accordance with arising. Some say that it is an explanation that is in accordance with discrimination, that is, in accordance with discrimination, which means an explanation that is easy to understand. For example, like the right abandonments, it is like explaining the white and black sides separately through the difference of arising and non-arising. What has arisen is easy to understand as arising from a tamer, and what has not arisen is not, or the black side is easy to understand. How is it? In order to abandon the sinful and unwholesome dharmas that have arisen, one generates intention, exerts effort, grasps the mind, and establishes it correctly. In order not to generate what has not arisen, one generates intention, just like before. In order to generate the wholesome dharmas that have not arisen, one generates intention, just like before. In order to make what has arisen abide, not be forgotten, and become habitual, one generates intention, just like before. Previously, intention was generated in order to abandon what had arisen, and later, intention was generated in order not to generate what had not arisen, but this certainty is not there. So what is it? Previously, intention is generated in order not to generate what has not arisen, and later, intention is also generated in order to abandon what has arisen, this is the example. The side of virtue.
