Whoever knows possesses two things. At that time, having seen the suffering and origin that operate in the desire realm mentioned earlier, they possess the complete knowledge of having abandoned what should be abandoned. And having seen the suffering and origin that operate in the form and formless realms, they possess the complete knowledge of having abandoned what should be abandoned. Those who abide in the forbearance of knowing the Dharma in cessation also possess only two things. Those who know the Dharma in cessation possess three things, and so on, which should be combined accordingly. However, those who abide in the path of seeing possess up to five things, but not six, because the sixteenth moment is included in the path of cultivation. Those who abide in the subsequent knowledge of the path possess six complete knowledges, namely, all the previously mentioned ones, and the complete knowledge of having abandoned what should be abandoned by seeing the path operating in the form and formless realms. The establishment of the four fruits is accomplished because of the five causes. On the fruit, abandoning the previous path, and obtaining others, and the total collection of exhaustion, obtaining the eight characteristics of knowledge, and obtaining the sixteen aspects. Isn't it inappropriate to explain it this way? Answer: Abandonment is a collection, but complete knowledge is not a collection, so there is no contradiction. As it is said: As long as one has not obtained detachment from desire in the desire realm, the word "as long as" here shows that from the first stage of abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, to the stage of abandoning the eighth stage, those who abide in this position also possess only six things. The so-called "completely lost from them" means that those who are detached from desire in the desire realm are the same as the total collection of complete loss. The so-called "having previously obtained detachment from desire in the desire realm," if asked before or after the direct perception, or how is it? Answer: Having detached from desire in the desire realm by the worldly path, and having entered certainty, at the time of the subsequent knowledge of the path, one possesses the one complete knowledge of abandoning what is in accordance with the final part. Thus, if that noble one obtains it in the sixteen moments of the mind, then he is a non-returner, not a stream-enterer or a once-returner. It is also said that by abandoning the five that are in accordance with the final part, one becomes a non-returner. Thus, those who have abandoned what should be abandoned by seeing, and the final part and

In order to summarize the abandonment of the five similarities, one possesses only one complete knowledge that abandons the similarity with the final part. Under direct realization, gradually obtaining freedom from desire from the desire realm also possesses only one complete knowledge that abandons the similarity with the final part. Obtaining the state of an Arhat possesses only one, because at that time, the complete knowledge is summarized. The distinction of saying "even if one completely deteriorates due to pervasive entanglement while practicing in the form realm" is to abandon the one who completely deteriorates while practicing in the desire realm, possessing six complete knowledges, and to abandon the one who completely deteriorates while practicing in the formless realm, possessing two complete knowledges. Saying "obtaining freedom from desire for the form realm, one possesses two complete knowledges" means that the non-returner has abandoned desire for the form realm. If one has abandoned desire from the realm, why is it not summarized? Because there is no attainment of the result. Abandoning desire from the realm and attaining the result, one wants to summarize the complete knowledge with all causes, but not with just one. Saying "even if one completely deteriorates due to pervasive entanglement while practicing in the formless realm" is because obtaining the state of an Arhat summarizes the abandonment of similarity with the final part, and the complete knowledge of the exhaustion of desire for the form realm, etc. If one completely deteriorates from the state of an Arhat due to the afflictions of practicing in the formless realm, one will obtain it again. One who completely deteriorates while practicing in the form realm will possess one; if one completely deteriorates while practicing in the desire realm, one will possess six, therefore it is said that pervasive entanglement while practicing in the formless realm. Saying the non-returner and the Arhats, etc., is because they have not abandoned desire for the form realm, so one wants to say the non-returner and the Arhats, etc., because the non-returner who has abandoned desire for the form realm will possess two complete knowledges. Saying "not many" means that one thinks it is not very many, like the one who gradually enters the stream. What does "summarize" mean? It is a synonym for "solely establishing." Saying "with two causes" is
