Then, that is the four objects. The object of the mind to be abandoned by seeing the cessation is not, because there are wrong views, etc., that are focused on the cessation. Holding views as supreme, etc., also because they are focused on their own lineage, and because there is no pleasure faculty in them. "Practicing in form, five kinds" means that these are the five kinds of pleasure faculty included in the third dhyana. "To be abandoned by seeing the path and by cultivation" means that the pleasure faculty included in the path is the mind that practices in the formless, and the object that is associated with wrong views, etc., which are to be abandoned by seeing the path. That itself, the mind to be abandoned by cultivation, is also the object of virtue. It is possible that all are objects without outflows. "Accordingly, as appropriate" means that because subtle increases do not increase in the absence of outflows, and because some increase only in some, therefore it is said to be as appropriate. "In that" refers to consciousness. "Subtle increases, four kinds of desire realm practice" means that, like this, focusing on the pleasure faculty, those associated with wrong views, then all ten subtle increases to be abandoned by seeing suffering also focus accordingly, or increase through the door of association, and those to be abandoned by seeing the origin are the same. Those to be abandoned by seeing the path also increase in that consciousness that focuses on the pleasure faculty, and in the consciousness that focuses on the pleasure object of the path, those associated with wrong views, etc., wrong views, etc., increase through the door of association. Holding views as supreme, etc., also increase through the door of the object, so that lineage also increases in that. The lineage to be abandoned by cultivation also increases in that, because attachment, etc., focus on the consciousness that focuses on the pleasure faculty, because it is associated with the object. The lineage to be abandoned by seeing the cessation does not increase in that, because there is no consciousness that focuses on the pleasure faculty.

So it is. The meaning of "those who are focused on conditioned phenomena in the realm of form," etc., is that there are five types of focus on the pleasure sensation in the realm of form. It is easy to understand how the four categories increase in that. Forty-second fascicle. If asked how the conditioned phenomena that are abandoned by seeing cessation increase, the answer is: In the third dhyana, holding supreme views, etc., are in accordance with the pleasure sensation, and they are also mutually dependent. They are in accordance with the consciousness that is focused on the pleasure sensation, or they increase through the door of the object. The meaning of "two types of conduct in the formless realm" is the categories of what is abandoned by seeing the path and by cultivation. Wrong views, etc., are the consciousness that is focused on the pleasure sensation of the path, and they increase through the door of being in accordance with wrong views, etc. Holding supreme views, etc., increase by focusing on that. The category of what is abandoned by cultivation also increases, because the virtuous mind that is abandoned by cultivation is focused on the path, and in that, the category of desire, etc., increases. It should also be known that all the subtle pervasive phenomena that are practiced in the formless realm also increase in the consciousness that is focused on the path, in accordance with wrong views, etc. The meaning of "those twelve types" is that, except for what is abandoned by seeing cessation, there are four types of conduct in the desire realm, five types of conduct in the form realm, and two types of conduct in the formless realm, namely, seeing the path and what is abandoned by cultivation, and the unpolluted. Thus, they are focused on the consciousness of the pleasure sensation by way of mutual dependence. The consciousness that is focused on the pleasure sensation is also included in the two types of conduct in the formless realm, which is focused on the consciousness of the truth. What is it? It is said that what is abandoned by seeing suffering and origin. There are two types of distinctions of what is abandoned by seeing suffering and origin in the formless realm.
