If asked, what does it possess? The answer is: 'Non-virtue' means that the root of virtue is completely severed. Moreover, this is only in the desire realm, so it is impossible to be separated from desire and attachment in the desire realm. Therefore, it completely possesses all five sense faculties, and also has the body faculty, and the life and mind faculties as well. Eyes and so on are not present, because they are absent in the state of gradual death, and in the state of being blind, and so on. 'The experiencer is feeling' means that it is established as the agent. 'Feeling is feeling' means that it is established as the essence, just as 'perfection is perfection,' which indicates the source. The formless infant is also the same. The word 'same' in 'also the same' connects only the similarity in number. By mentioning virtue, faith and so on should be understood, because it is entirely virtuous. That is to say, it is only virtuous, not non-virtuous or neutral; whatever is non-virtuous or neutral, those are virtuous, which is a summary statement. It would be too much to include the all-knowing faculty and so on, because those are also entirely virtuous, so it would be too much to include them. No, because it is a case of eight, 'Among the non-virtuous, those with few qualities, eight,' this indicates eight. Equanimity, life, mind, virtues, etc., because the boundaries of the spoken words have been divided, the all-knowing faculty and so on should be sought. Because it is the case of an infant, because it says, 'The formless infant is also the same,' here it is considered mainly as an infant.
