Separation from the ground is attained through two paths, namely the mundane path and the supramundane path. Regarding this, there are two kinds of fruits: conditioned fruits and unconditioned fruits. This is because there is such a statement. Among them, the characteristic of detachment of the non-returner's fruit, which is the unconditioned, is initially attained through the mundane path, and when entering certainty, it is also attained through the supramundane path. Its attainment is both mundane and supramundane. Therefore, its detachment from desire is firm. Therefore, one will not completely fall away from this. Because there is the saying, "Falling away from the fruit, not from the beginning." And, because the things to be abandoned by seeing are without foundation. Are there not other causes as well? Why are they not mentioned here? Although this should also be mentioned, others might say this: Even if one has not completely fallen away from the detachment from desire of the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, why would one assume that complete falling away only occurs from the detachment from desire of the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation? By abandoning the five factors that correspond to the final part, one becomes a non-returner. That is, the view of the aggregates, holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme, and doubt are to be abandoned by seeing. Desire and malice are to be abandoned by cultivation. These also have detachment from desire as their precursor, so through the sixteenth moment of the final mind of realization, at that time, by its power, one obtains the uncontaminated lineage, etc. Therefore, the attainment abandoned by the mundane path also becomes an uncontaminated attainment. At that time, the conditioned aspect of the non-returner's fruit, which is the nature of the ninth path of uncontaminated liberation, and the unconditioned, which is the attainment of abandoning desire, etc., will be attained. Therefore, because the noble one attains its detachment from desire through two paths, only this cause is explained. The abandonment of desire, etc., is attained through two paths, this is the concluding statement. Equanimity, and life, and mind, endowed with.

Having the three certainties. "Having" means possessing and not being separated from equanimity, life, or mind, undoubtedly possessing the nature of equanimity, life, and mind themselves. "These are not possessed if they are not mutually present" means that if one is possessed, the other two are also possessed. Therefore, these are considered to be possessed, but not the eyes, etc. Therefore, it is mentioned, "with the faculties of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, etc.," because those born in the formless realm do not possess the faculties of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, etc. The faculty of the body is not mentioned here because in the desire realm, the meaning of "not obtained" and "damaged" is included, which only applies to the eyes, etc., and not to the body. If it were not so, it would only be said, "those born in the formless realm do not possess the colored faculties." "Not obtained and damaged" means that not obtained refers to the state of infants, etc. Damaged refers to the state of being blind, etc., and gradual death, because obtaining death is damaged. The specification that "ordinary beings do not possess" is because noble ones undoubtedly possess them. Their undefiled bliss is not abandoned by the change of ground. "Not possessing unpleasantness and desire for desire" means that whether residing here, residing in another realm, ordinary beings, or noble ones, they do not possess them. "Ordinary beings and those abiding in the fruit" means that those abiding in the fruit, such as stream-enterers, etc., do not possess the faculty of complete knowledge because it is damaged after realization. Those abiding in the path of seeing do not possess the faculty of complete knowledge because it is not obtained, and those abiding in the path of no more learning do not possess it because it is damaged upon obtaining the fruit. "In the unprevented states, as it is said" means that in other states, it should be understood that the faculties that have been spoken of are possessed. For example, in the desire realm, the states of not obtained and damaged
