That is how it is. Other than that, everything else is to be abandoned through cultivation, because it is not samadhi, so there is nothing that cannot be abandoned. In the desire realm, initially two kinds of maturation result are obtained. The term "obtained" is because the desire realm is primarily based on desire, so it will be explained as "desires," etc. In the desire realm, sentient beings born from eggs, wombs, and moisture will initially only obtain two faculties that are the nature of maturation result, namely the body faculty and the life faculty. Why is that? Because it is said in the scripture: "Beings of existence with birth, all the afflictions of their own ground, arise." Therefore, the mind faculty and the equanimity faculty are inevitably afflicted when connecting the continuum. Moreover, the eye and other faculties do not exist at that time. The term "not born by transformation" refers to an exclusion. Because there is no distinction made, it would be excessive to say that beings born by transformation also only obtain two faculties in the same way. Therefore, this is to prevent that situation. Is it the case that beings born by transformation definitely do not obtain these two faculties? No, they will obtain them, but not only two. Therefore, it is explained in detail later, such as "with that, six are obtained." If there is no gender, the term "if" means if there are no male and female faculties. For example, like the beings of the first kalpa, it refers to those who appeared at the very beginning, because it is said in the scripture: "Like the first sentient beings, the four with form." The term "six" refers to the five faculties of the eye, etc., and the sixth, the life faculty. The word "etc." refers to the hells, etc. In the intermediate state and the state of existence with birth, at the stage of connecting the continuum, they will initially obtain these. Again, it is asked, do beings born by transformation also have two sexes? The questioner's thought is that the appearance of two sexes is inferior, while the birth place of transformation is special, so how could these two be compatible? The term "because form is primary, therefore it is said form, etc." is because form is primary.

Because the senses are pure, it is a synonym for luminosity. In another case, the focus of the form realm is not the merits of desire. Then what is it? It is merely form, just as formlessness is not the focus either. The sutra says that it also appears like this in the sutras, this is not merely what I have done. Those who have transcended form and attained the peaceful formless liberation are also impermanent, unstable, unreliable, and subject to change. This is extensively explained. What is attained by the spontaneously born and nameless ones is the people of the first kalpa. Because of the long duration of absorption, because first there is the absorption of the form realm and later the absorption of the formless realm, therefore the form realm is superior to the formless realm. Because it is not the peak of birth, because from the perspective of birth, the form realm is superior to the formless realm, because there it will mature into tranquility for thousands of kalpas, therefore this is also higher, but not from the perspective of the place of birth, because there is no place in the formless realm. Because there is such a statement. Dying in the formless realms means that at the time of death, only these three faculties will cease in the formless realm. This should be understood as special, because there is the saying that "in virtue, all are five." In the form realm there are eight, the form realm is with the five senses such as the eyes, only eight cease simultaneously, because they die with the senses complete. Therefore it is said that all spontaneously born beings are born and die with all senses complete. In the desire realm there are ten, nine, or eight. These are two cases, if the senses are complete, then ten will cease. If it is one case, then it is nine. If it is a nameless case, then it is eight. If the senses are incomplete, a blind or deaf person, then at that time the senses should be reduced. The desire realm
