Wow! Being skilled and wise, understanding what should be known through wisdom, if I were to show this to others, but they do not understand it, then it would become both a harm to me and a labor for me, and it would also become a worry in my heart. It is better to dwell in solitude in order to abide in peace in the Dharma that I alone see, to abide in a state endowed with yoga, this is certain. Thereafter, the lord of the Brahma world of Saha thought thus: Now, in this world realm, the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha appears only occasionally in hundreds of thousands of kalpas, like the blossoming of the Udumbara flower. The Blessed One also thinks of small matters and does not intend to teach the Dharma. Alas, this world is truly unbearable! Alas, this world is extremely unbearable! I should definitely request the Blessed One. Thereafter, the lord of the Brahma world of Saha, just as a strong man extends or retracts his arm, disappeared from the Brahma world and stood before the Blessed One. At that time, Brahma requested with verses: In this land of Magadha (藏文:མ་ག་དྷཱ་ཡི་,梵文天城体:मगध,梵文罗马拟音:magadha,汉语字面意思:摩揭陀), in the past, the Dharma was born with impure defilements following. Please open the door of nectar, Dharma! Please explain the stainless and free from afflictions. At that time, the Blessed One replied with these verses: Brahma, I have destroyed all darkness, and this Dharma that I have realized with great effort, those who are stained by worldly desires cannot easily realize it. This is the right path that goes against the worldly ways, it is profound and extremely difficult to see, it is obscured by the darkness stained by desire, so it cannot be seen. Brahma requested: Blessed One, among those sentient beings who are born in the world and grow old in the world, there are those with sharp faculties, those with medium faculties, and those with dull faculties. Thus it is said. The extensive explanation of "at the time when the wheel of Dharma has not been turned" refers to explaining that those with faculties such as faith are endowed with good fortune. Why? Because at the time when the wheel of Dharma has not been turned.

Because it was said, "There are also those with sharp wisdom," etc., therefore, things like faith, which are with outflows, do exist. The extensive explanation of "the world together with the gods" is that, as such, I say that one will not abide long with a mind liberated, determined, without, separated, and free from perversion from this world together with gods, demons, Brahma, ascetics, Brahmins, and the multitude of gods and humans. This is the extensive explanation. For those without outflows, there is no such aspect of complete examination, that is, for those without outflows, tasting, fault, and definite departure are not permissible. Arhat is not a non-returner, because the continuum has not been liberated from afflictions. Having magical powers means having attained direct knowledge. Having obtained mastery over the mind means being liberated without being connected to time. Livelihood means the means of livelihood, because it is in accordance with it. Having offered and thought about it means thinking about that lifespan, that is, the meaning of making it in the mind. How is it? It is hoped that the ripening of my enjoyment will become the ripening of life. The characteristic of this so-called supreme limit will be explained as the supreme distinction of increase. Generating the mind and also speaking the words means that in order to accomplish that, the mind and words also arise and speak, and there is no result to be accomplished by one cause. Therefore, this shows that this is only the ripening of the life force. Because the karma of the ripening of enjoyment will produce the ripening of life, it is guided by the power of meditating on samadhi. The remainder of the ripening causes ripening, which means that the karma of other lifetimes, due to untimely death, the remainder of the ripening whose fruit is not completely fulfilled, is guided by the power of meditation, and each is experienced separately. Their suchness refers to that yogi.

It is so. That which is accomplished by previous karma, the duration of the great elements' abiding is called prolonging. The karma of previous lives is previous karma. That which arises from it is that which arises from previous karma. The abiding of the great elements is continuous. The duration of abiding is the duration of abiding. That prolongation is universal prolongation, it is the prolongation of the duration of abiding. The ability to continuously cycle through moments during that period is prolongation, thus it universally prolongs this duration of abiding. Yogis can reverse the prolongation of the duration of abiding of the great elements arising from previous karma, while the sudden arising from unprecedented samadhi is prolongation. From one question, another question arises, namely, if the life-sustaining faculty that stops the life-sustaining activities of a bhikshu arhat is the result of what, why is the blessing of life-sustaining activities another question from this question. The meaning of benefiting others or the meaning of establishing the Dharma, namely, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, only act for the benefit of others and the establishment of the Dharma. Physical illness, etc., namely, because they possess the three sufferings, they are like illness, tumors, and pain, etc. Where or which, the answer to the question of where is among humans, that is, in the three continents. The answer to the question of which is that arhats, male and female, who have attained the peak of meditative concentration, are liberated without being bound by time.
