If it has no parts, then it is non-material, that is what people think. This "Glanka" refers to the fact that the minute particles of matter have no parts, therefore it cannot be allowed by harmful matter, nor can it be allowed by unobstructed matter, therefore it cannot be considered matter. The form of a single, separate existence of a minute particle does not exist, and mentioning "single" is to point out the form of a minute particle of matter. The so-called "separate existence" refers to the state of not depending on aggregation, and such a thing does not exist. If it is admitted, then there will be cases such as the eight kinds of subtle matter without senses and without sound, therefore it always exists in aggregation. That which exists in aggregation is matter, which means that the minute particles of matter exist in aggregation, therefore it can be considered matter, and it can be harmed and obstructed, this is admitted. Then, the past and the future will be widely discussed, because the past and the future do not exist in a place, so they are not matter, they cannot be harmed or obstructed. Among them, it is widely discussed that the so-called "matter that already exists" refers to the past, which has the meaning of harm and obstruction. The so-called "matter that will exist" refers to the future, which has the nature of arising, only these two meanings. The so-called "similar to it" refers to being similar to things that have the nature of arising, that is, the nature of the future not arising. The so-called "like firewood" refers to what has already been burned and what will be burned, and what is similar to it, all are firewood. Firewood similar to this refers to something that is considered firewood, as long as it does not come into contact with fire, it will be destroyed immediately. Then, non-representative form is not matter. Why? Because it has no obstruction. Precisely because it has no obstruction, it can neither be harmed nor obstructed. Among them, because representative form is matter, it is widely discussed.

Furthermore, the reason for arising is that the expression causes the non-expression to arise completely. Because an obstructed object has form, the non-expression also has form, just as when a tree that causes a shadow to arise completely is shaken, the shadow also shakes. 'Because it does not change, it is not so,' this sentence points out the fault of the proposition, because the opponent proposes: 'Non-expression is to be generated, therefore it will follow its own complete arising, just like a tree and its shadow.' This proposition contradicts what was previously promised, because it was previously promised that even if the expression changes, the non-expression will not change. For example, when the palms are separated and then joined with hollow palms, the expression of the body will change, but it is promised that the non-expression will not change. Therefore, this argument is not valid. If the expression changes, the non-expression will also change, This sentence refutes the distinction of the subject of this proposition. If it is thought that the shadow is the nature of the tree, then seeing the tree change, the shadow also changes, just like that. Here, some refute, saying that the sentence 'Because it does not change, it is not so' is not well said. If the expression changes, the non-expression will only change as well. If the expression is small, medium, or large, then the non-expression will also become small, medium, or large. It is unreasonable to say so. The very arising of non-expression becomes small, medium, and large in this way, but it is not a change. When a dharma arises and becomes something else, that is a change, and that is considered to have form. Others say, 'Because the arising of dependence has form, therefore it is so,' this is the view of the earlier teacher Vasubandhu. Mentioning arising is to show the arising of the basis. Therefore, the same should be applied to others as well.

Since it is so, then the eye consciousness and so on should also be like that, this is explained in detail. Because the bases, such as the eye, are forms, the consciousnesses produced by them should also become forms. This approximate statement is inappropriate, this is a response to some followers of the earlier Vasubandhu. The detailed explanation of non-revealing form (rnam par rig byed ma yin pa) is that shadows also arise depending on being attached to trees, however, it is similar to the case of jewels. They are merely the reason for their arising, this is considering that there is no attachment. To this, the other party said in detail, this is temporarily not the view of the Vaibhashikas, this is not the tenet of the Vaibhashikas. The tenet of the Vaibhashikas is that, because the substances are different, the subtle particles of the shadow's color also arise depending on their own four great elements, not depending on the trees, similarly, light also arises depending on its own four great elements, not depending on the jewels. In this way, since jewels and trees are not the cause of the four great elements, just like the great elements and non-revealing form, shadows and light have no connection, therefore the example and the actual situation are inconsistent. Shadows and light depend on themselves, this is because they follow them, shadows depend on their own four great elements, and the four great elements depend on the trees. However, those that arise depending on their own four great elements depend on the jewels, even if one admits dependence through indirect means, it is still inappropriate. As the Tattvasiddhi-shastra says: "Desire realm, non-consciousness, momentary, hereafter born from past births." Because it is admitted that even if the basis of non-revealing form ceases, it will not cease. Therefore, this cannot be used as an answer. Others think that this refers to the master himself, because it was explained in detail that non-revealing form is like the shadow on a tree, because that discourse is about form. The bases are different, therefore it is said that
