These are those who dwell on the earth. In order to know that "it also arises," the Sutra spoken by the Blessed One is widely recorded. Among them, the five aggregates of clinging are explained as diseases, etc., and the root of the disease is the four foods. The root is also the cause, so it is established that chewing food is also the cause of the cycle of rebirth for those who dwell on the earth. Others are the cause of aging, and this is just an example. I think that aging from this life to the next is distinguished. Because it is obvious, it can be said that the realm is where beings appear and dwell. Similarly, the touch and consciousness that experience happiness also contribute to this. If it is said like this, then how is intention understood? Therefore, intention is also mentioned in detail. Precisely because intention is mentioned, touch and consciousness are also mentioned, because they are similar and related. The so-called "gone" means "passed away." The so-called "category of conduct" is a treatise on the exposition of Dharma. The so-called "those that are widely spread are touch" is because it helps to experience happiness. Whatever aggregates of feeling and aggregates of perception exist, everything arises depending on touch. The so-called "intention can project rebirth" is because it is the nature of karma. How does it project rebirth? Because it is in accordance with the cause and effect of birth. The so-called "manifestation from the seed of consciousness that is perfumed by karma" is like a sprout arising from a seed, which is synonymous with the arising of rebirth. Someone asked: Is everything that is chewed also food? The answer is: Some are chewed but not food, some are food but not chewed, some are both, and some are neither, these are the four possibilities. The second possibility refers to the three foods, namely intention, touch, and consciousness. The fourth possibility refers to things other than those forms.

The kya is all the mind and mental events that are similar to the feeling of sound and suffering. Similarly, touch and so on should also be divided into four types according to their respective situations, that is, if you ask: Is everything that is touch also food? Answer: Some are touch, but not food, these are four sentences. Similarly, if you ask: Is everything that is mental activity also food? Answer: Some are mental activity, but not food, these are four sentences. Similarly, if you ask: Is everything that is consciousness also food? Answer: Some are consciousness, but not food, these are four sentences. Briefly speaking, the first sentence of touch is that relying on touch, the faculties deteriorate, and the four great elements also completely perish. The second sentence is the three foods. The third sentence is that relying on touch, the faculties grow, and the four great elements also increase. The fourth sentence does not include those situations. The four sentences between consciousness are also the same as this, the first sentence is that relying on consciousness, the faculties deteriorate, and the four great elements also completely perish. The second sentence is the three foods. The third sentence is that relying on consciousness, the faculties grow, and the four great elements also increase. The fourth sentence does not include those situations. Growing by relying on touch and so on is another question, touch and so on, refers to touch, feeling, consciousness and dharmas, etc., it is not understood in this way, but refers to relying on touch and so on, the faculties grow, and the great elements also increase, then, are there also situations where those are not food? Answer: Yes, it refers to other grounds and undefiled dharmas, etc. Because it is connected with "relying on", it is the second type of connection. What is eaten and grows, what is used to express this connection? Answer: Relying on other grounds and undefiled dharmas, etc., it is said that it is not food. It implies that relying on one's own grounds and defiled dharmas, etc., is food.
