O, that is the harbinger of death, from the moment of birth onwards. As it is said, it has been completely stated. Those afflictions that are completely entangled and can exist alone do not refer to jealousy, stinginess, anger, and concealment, etc. These can exist alone because they are not similar to other afflictions except for ignorance. Ignorance is present everywhere, so being similar to it means not being unable to exist alone. Those like shamelessness, which exist similarly with other afflictions, do not obstruct the connection of continuity. Although that state is weak, it is described in detail as referring to the state of death. Because "death, transference, and birth are abandonment," the movement of mind and mental factors is not clear. Although it is different, if someone repeatedly, that is, constantly, at the time of death, closely practices any affliction, then at the time of death, those afflictions themselves, such as the view of the aggregates as a self and the view of extremes, will universally arise for that person. Because of prior projection, it is a synonym for because of prior generation, because of prior habituation. Or, at that time, whatever affliction is closely present, it is because it closely grasps and projects with the nature of the prior result, so it is closely present at that time. In the desire realm and the form realm, annihilation is not mentioned, so it is said that all four existences exist, because only three existences exist in the formless realm, and only the formless realm has three existences. In order to grasp definitively, it is allowed that all four existences exist in other realms. Because there is no similar cause, it is a synonym for because there is no urine or feces. Or, because it is subtle, subtle refers to subtle food. An infant refers to one who is newly born. Those born from warmth and moisture, etc., refer to lice, etc. The word "etc." includes those in the womb. Coarse food is in the desire realm, which means that only the desire realm has coarse food, which is definitively grasped. Why? The answer is: Because of its desire and

Severance, that is, those who are free from attachment to the desire for coarse food, are born in the realm of form. The term "made into a mouthful and swallowed" means that it is called a "mouthful" because it is made into a mouthful and becomes a lump. That which is made into a mouthful and swallowed is also because it is to be eaten, so it is cut into mouthfuls by the nose and tongue. And it is said that all sources of smell, taste, and touch are coarse food. One might ask: How can those things that shadows, the sun, fire, and light possess be food? If it is said that the smells, etc., that they possess are not made into a mouthful and swallowed, then this is said to be a general indication, that is, it does not show that the smells, etc., that they possess are made into a mouthful. The term "the realm of desire is the nature of the three sources" is only a general indication. The sound called "saying" is the treatise of another school. In order to show one's own thoughts. The term "those who do not swallow themselves" is spoken of extensively. Those that shadows, etc., possess, those that do not swallow but also abide and also nourish, are also subtle foods, that is, they are far from bathing and the body. For example, like being far from bathing and the body, it is made into a mouthful. Although it is not swallowed, it is still like food, and it is similar to that. Self because it is not beneficial for liberation. The term "because" means that therefore it is not beneficial to freedom, that is, to one's own senses. And, because it will not come from liberation from the realm of desire. And, because it is not beneficial to the Arhats, therefore the form source is not food. The term "the form source is when swallowing" means that when the form source puts food into the mouth and eats it, and when it transcends the object of the eye, it is beneficial to one's own sense, that is, to the root of the eye or its four great elements, that is, to the four great elements on which the root depends. If there is no benefit, because it is not an object, there is no need to mention that it is beneficial to other senses such as the ear, because the form source is not an object of the ear, etc. Then, when food is arranged, will seeing become beneficial? Therefore, the term "when seeing" is spoken of extensively. However, even at that time, the touch that experiences happiness by focusing on it is food, but not form.
