I (the author) believe that, apart from these, it is established because there are things like the dharma-sphere, and the six groups of faculties and consciousness. Therefore, because the "six groups of contact" are declared separately, it can be established that "contact" is a different dharma that is associated with the mind. If someone says that because this sutra says "the six internal and six external," it also declares things that do not have faculties, objects, and consciousness. Therefore, the three—faculty, object, and consciousness—become contact, and this is to declare the remaining part, so this sutra speaks of the "six groups of contact." To refute this statement, this passage is written: Even if there are faculties and objects without consciousness, this is a synonym. Because there is no consciousness without faculties and objects, consciousness is necessarily associated with faculties and objects, and consciousness has already been declared in this sutra by saying "the six groups of consciousness." Therefore, because consciousness is called "six groups," the three—faculty, object, and consciousness—have already been declared, and saying "six groups of contact" again, repeating the already declared contact, becomes meaningless. Therefore, it can be established that contact is different from aggregation. Here, the teacher Śrīlaṅka elaborately says that all eyes and forms are the cause of all eye-consciousness. Saying "not all either" means that the eyes and forms that arose earlier are the cause, but those that arise simultaneously with consciousness are not. Saying "all eye-consciousness is not the result either" means that it is the later result of the eyes and forms that arose earlier, but not of those that arise simultaneously with them. Therefore, this Sutra of the Six Groups of Contact says that whatever consciousness, faculties, and objects are the entities of cause and result, they are considered to be the entities of contact, and this is not another explanation. Saying "it is not recited that way" is a synonym for saying that it is not recited that way. So, how should it be recited? It should be recited that these dharmas are related and are an aggregation.

, and whatever arises from the assembly is called touch. Alternatively, this is a way of attributing the result to the cause. This means that because the causes are interconnected and gathered together, the result of touch is attributed to the assembly. For example, it is like saying, "The Buddhas are the source of happiness." Regarding this, the aspects of cause arising are very numerous, indeed the aspects of cause arising are very numerous. The term "word" refers to "name," and it is expressed in this way particularly, so it is called word, and word refers to name, and name is used to express meaning, so word is name. This name particularly, or almost identical to the form of consciousness, is its object, therefore, the collection of words is called touch. Touch and the touch of collection are the same. Consciousness is able to recognize blue, which means it is able to recognize what is to be expressed. Being able to recognize "blue" means being able to recognize the name of this thing. One is distinguished by the basis of dependence. This means that the first is distinguished by the basis of dependence, that is, the touch of the basis of dependence that has obstacles, or the touch of obstacles is the touch of obstacles. Distinguished by the object. This means that the touch with words as its object, or the touch on words is the touch of words. From the perspective of words, this means that from the perspective of words, the words are determined, and then consciousness operates on things like form, while the five consciousnesses such as eye consciousness do not operate on things from the perspective of words. Therefore, consciousness itself is words, that is, what operates on words is called words. The touch that is similar to this is the touch of words, therefore, this second touch is distinguished by similarity. Knowing and not knowing and other touches, refers to knowing and not knowing and others, that is, knowing, not knowing, and other touches, refers to knowing, not knowing, and things that are different from these two. Knowing refers to uncontaminated wisdom.
