Therefore, hair and so on are also the nature of form and so on (the form aggregate among the five aggregates), but it is not the nature of only the earth element (one of the four great elements). However, from that, what is the earth element? Hair and body hair, etc., that is to say, only hair, etc., shows the earth element, because apart from hair, etc., there is no earth element inside after abandoning it, so this is only a complete display of the earth element. Similarly, from this, the meaning of "ignorance, etc." is that, similarly, from this sutra, ignorance, action, and consciousness, etc., are only completely shown, not with remainder. Tears, mucus, and phlegm, etc., mean that tears, mucus, and phlegm, etc., do not appear in that sutra. Therefore, because the earth element they have is not mentioned, it shows that there is only remainder. Or, if it can be shown like that, then the sentence "depending on the remainder of ignorance" appears in detail, meaning that if it can be shown that the remainder of the earth element exists in mucus and phlegm, etc., because it has not been mentioned. It depends on the remainder of ignorance, if the word "if" is used because it is thought that it cannot be shown, because all the places of not understanding have been mentioned, such as not understanding the past extreme, not understanding the future extreme, not understanding the middle of the extreme, not understanding the Buddha, not understanding the Dharma, not understanding the Sangha. Ignorance is the stage of the five aggregates, why are different kinds such as feelings shown as ignorance? Feelings, etc., cannot be ignorance itself. The determination of existence and non-existence means that if there is existence or non-existence, then in order, the determination of existence and non-existence itself is a limb, because when ignorance exists, action exists, and if ignorance does not exist, then action does not exist, so only ignorance is a limb, not feelings, etc., because arhats have these, but the action that produces the limb of consciousness will not arise, this is the concluding remark. Therefore, even if there are five aggregates, action will not arise, this is a detailed explanation. Arhat

Although there are five aggregates in the state of those, the consciousness between approaching without moving does not arise when approaching merit. That is, the consciousness that connects does not arise. This is the concluding statement. Because of approaching that and that birth, it is approaching. Because of approaching by merit, it is the consciousness of approaching by merit. It is the same between approaching without moving. Similarly, although there are five aggregates in the state where there is no ignorance, taking existence and so on does not arise, so the meaning of the sutra is only as stated. Ignorance and so on should be understood as they are proclaimed. This is the concluding statement. Therefore, even if there are other aggregates, since they are not the cause of actions and so on, those are not limbs. The sutra is "Thus have I heard" and so on, and "The Blessed One dwelt in Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir in Bihar) on Vulture Peak Mountain, together with a great community of monks of one thousand two hundred and fifty monks, and many Bodhisattva Mahasattvas," and so on, and "The Venerable Shariputra said this to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Maitreya. Maitreya, here the Blessed One, having observed the green leaves of the Sala tree, spoke this sutra to the monks. Monks, whoever sees dependent origination sees the Dharma. Whoever sees the Dharma sees the Buddha," after this teaching, the Blessed One did not speak again. Maitreya, the meaning of this sutra taught by the Sugata, what is dependent origination? What is the Dharma? What is the Buddha? How does seeing dependent origination see the Dharma, and so on, and what does dependent origination mean, this refers to ignorance and so on." After saying that, from that sutra, "Whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, the Dharma nature of all phenomena exists," from then on, "This refers to Dharma nature, and Dharma abiding, and Dharma determination, and dependent origination, and Suchness, and non-inverted Suchness.
