That is the desire for form. Similarly, it also shows birth in the formless realm, there is no place in the formless realm. "There are four kinds of birth," etc., for those desires that have not been separated from desire, that is the desire for the formless realm. The so-called "as appropriate" refers to relying on the place shown. The so-called "desire for meditation and formlessness" refers to desire for the samadhi and arising meditation, which is the desire for form, and the desire for the formless realm is the same. The so-called "how to desire the mind of transformation" refers to in what way, when he wants to become a practitioner of the desire realm, wants the fruit of meditation, how to desire the mind of transformation of the practitioner of the desire realm, this is the desire of those who have not separated from desire for desire. When this person has not separated from the desire for desire, the mind of transformation will not arise completely. When the mind of transformation arises completely, desire will not arise from it. If so, how can it be established as a practitioner of the desire realm without the desire for desire? This is a summary word. The so-called "hearing and completely practicing, because of attachment to this" means that after hearing from others, desire arises for the mind of transformation, and after completely practicing from one's own mind of transformation, it is because of attachment to this. For example, a meditator hears that the mind of transformation of a practitioner of the desire realm can transform the transformation of a practitioner of the desire realm, so desire arises for this, and after remembering himself, he also desires this. Or, the so-called "also by the power of transformation" refers to seeing a fascinating transformation, and for the sake of transformation, for the mind or the mind of the transformer, thinking what kind of transformation is good, and desiring such a mind of transformation. Or, the so-called "also transforming for the sake of transformation" refers to the mind that can transform the transformation of a practitioner of the desire realm, that is the practitioner of the desire realm, because it is the cause of the Dharma of the desire realm, like the mind of the cause of the vase. Whoever is not a practitioner of the desire realm is not the Dharma of the desire realm.

It is an illusion, like the mind in the realm of form. It is precisely because of this that it is said that the mind in the realm of form does not emanate those two. Furthermore, why does the mind in the realm of form not emanate odors and tastes? Because odors and tastes are the very nature of edible food, and also because those born in the realm of form are free from attachment to it. The term "yoke-wood measure" refers to the continuity of rain being about the measure of a yoke-wood. The term "uninterrupted" means that it shows as being continuous. The term "not speaking of above and below" means that it shows that the world realms exist only upright. The term "fifth direction" refers to the path of the gods, that is, it speaks of the six desire gods in the desire realm. The rest are those who abide in the form and formless realms. If it were not so, the paths would be confused, that is, the paths would be mixed up. If goodness and afflictions were also the case, the paths would be confused, because humans also create karma from falling into hell to being born as gods, therefore the human path would also become the hell path, and even become the path of the gods, because those karmas belong to that path. Those born in the desire realm also possess the afflictions of the higher realms, and because they possess all the afflictions of those who abide in the desire realm, that person will also be from hell to the heavens. The term "only sentient beings" is because the bodies go there in accordance with karma. Therefore it is said, "Merit, demerit, and their fruits follow closely, they go according to karma." In order to establish that "it is not the nature of the intermediate state," it is extensively brought forth that it is also said in the scriptures. The term "having a cause and having a going" means that the cause is the existence of karma, and the going is the intermediate state, because one goes by this. Going is what is to be gone to, therefore it is going. Because from that cause, those were separately created.
