It is said that six minds are obtained. If the afflictive mind that operates in the form realm manifests, then by not being associated with them, six minds are obtained. The so-called "three that operate in the form realm" means that which arises extensively. That is, when one regresses from the formless realm to the form realm, at that time, this existence that operates in the form realm, the afflictive mind that connects the intermediate state, undoubtedly has three that operate in the form realm: the virtuous mind obtained from birth, the afflictive mind, and the unconditioned mind of emanation, because the attainment of prior birth exists, as well as the unconditioned mind of emanation that operates in the desire realm alone, and because of complete deterioration, the mind that operates in the form realm deteriorates from the state of an Arhat, and by not being associated with that, the afflictive mind that operates in the formless realm and the mind of a learner are obtained. Thus, it is said that six minds are also obtained for the afflictive mind that operates in the form realm. Chapter 22. For the afflictive mind that operates in the formless realm, two minds are obtained by not being associated with them, because of complete deterioration, the mind that operates in the formless realm deteriorates from the state of an Arhat, and the afflictive mind of which one part manifests, and the mind of a learner. As for the virtuous mind that operates in the form realm, it is said to have three minds. The so-called "for the virtuous mind" is merely a general statement. For some virtuous minds that operate in the form realm, three are obtained as appropriate. How so? For example, if the first virtuous mind that operates in the form realm manifests, then by not being associated with it, that virtuous mind that operates in the form realm is obtained. If the virtuous mind included in the actual meditative concentration manifests, then by not being associated with them, the unconditioned minds of emanation that operate in the desire realm and the form realm are obtained. Thus, it is said that if the virtuous mind that operates in the form realm manifests, then three are obtained. It is not possible to obtain the three simultaneously. The so-called "four for a learner" means that which arises extensively. That is, if the mind of a learner, the mind of forbearance that knows the Dharma of suffering, manifests, then by not being associated with it, the meaning of the aggregates of the forbearance that knows the Dharma of suffering for a learner.

Obo (place name) itself is the attainment. The unobscured and unindicated dharmas that are practiced in the desire and form realms, as well as the virtuous dharmas that are practiced in the formless realm, are also attained. When are they attained? When the noble path causes the desire and form realms to be free from desire. How are they attained? When this invincible inferior noble path causes the desire realm to be free from desire, at that time, when the mind of the learner, which is encompassed by the nine paths of liberation, manifests, and is not associated with them, then the unobscured and unindicated emanation minds that are practiced in the desire and form realms are attained. When any one of the noble paths of the sixth ground causes the form realm to be free from desire, at that time, when the first mind of the learner manifests, and is not associated with it, in the manner of obtaining the past and future, the virtuous mind that is practiced in the formless realm is attained. The mention of "noble path" is to dispel the contaminated mind, because this attainment is said to be the manifestation of the learner's mind. On this, the teacher Guna-mati says: There are four types of learners: the learner himself, and when the noble path causes the desire and form realms to be free from desire, the unobscured and unindicated dharmas that are practiced in the desire and form realms, and the virtuous dharmas of the formless realm. What is this like? Therefore, it is declared that when the noble path causes the desire and form realms to be free from desire, that is, when this invincible inferior noble path causes the desire realm to be free from desire, at that time, any one of the nine paths of liberation, which is the learner who obtains the inferior path of the actual dhyana, is therefore called the attainment of the learner. The unobscured and unindicated emanation minds that are practiced in the desire and form realms are also attained only at that time. When the noble path of the six grounds causes the form realm to be free from desire, any one of the nine paths of liberation is the attainment of the virtuous dharmas that are practiced in the formless realm, so it is said. His disciple, the teacher Dhrti-mitra, also asks only about those meanings, those words, and those letters. This explanation is reasonable.
