The term "form" refers to the aggregate of form. The term "five" is to exclude the mind faculty. The term "meaning" refers to the object, which is something to be understood and known. The mention of "five" again is to exclude the object-dharma. In "the support of their consciousness," the word "their" is connected with the objects. The object is their, or their consciousness is their consciousness. Their support is the support of their consciousness. The term "form and pure form" means that they are both form and pure form, so they are form and pure form. This distinction is to exclude the mind faculty, because in the tenets of the mind it is said: "Their of the five are also co-born." Therefore, although the support of their consciousness is, the mind is not the nature of form, so it is excluded. The mention of "form" is to exclude pure pure form here. If it is said that this distinction of "the support of their consciousness" will not lead to over-inference about faith, that is not correct, because if many seeds are examined, it may lead to over-inference. If "form" is mentioned, then the inference of many seeds will be prevented, because it will be inferred that what has the support of their consciousness, and pure form does not have the nature of form. The mention of "pure form" is to distinguish pure form from the object to be grasped. Some particularists say that the faculties are only the difference that causes them to arise. But the scriptures do not say so. What is it then? The faculties refer to things that, apart from objects such as form, cannot be cognized by pure form faculties, but can only be inferred by their respective consciousnesses, and they appear to be supports such as the eyes. The distinction of "the support of their consciousness" is also to prevent the confusion of mutual characteristics. If only "eyes and other forms and pure forms" are mentioned, then the eyes will also become ears, etc., and the ears, etc. will also become eyes. Therefore, why is it said like this? As the support of the consciousness of form, which is form and pure form, that is the eye.

In particular, because of this, it will not become a confused definition, whether it is the ear or other senses, it is not the so-called "with form as the object" support. Similarly, the so-called "with touch as the object" support, which is corresponding to form, should be called the body's sense organ. What the Blessed One said, such as "as it is," is considered that this explanation is in accordance with the sutra. If asked: How is it? Mentioning "inner," is a synonym for "with...as the object." The word "inner" will be explained as establishing "inner" to the mind. Taking the inner as the main, that is, the inner master. The inner nature, that is, inner, because within the nature of the mind is the cause, so for such a meaning, it is called "inner." It will be explained as "with consciousness as the object." Or, these such as the eyes, appear in detail, if summed up, those words are connected with the senses, that is, the so-called "eye consciousness" and "ear consciousness" and so on. This is famous in the scriptures, not the so-called "form consciousness" and "sound consciousness" and so on. In the world, sometimes it is also said like this, therefore, one should rely on other consciousnesses. Therefore, if it is said like that, it is explained in detail in the sutra. Here, how to establish the unestablished with the unestablished? Because the eyes themselves are unestablished. If it is unestablished, then the eye consciousness is also unestablished, then how to use it as its support here? Because these differences of consciousness are already established, in order to show the differences between each other. I am only to explain that these such as the eyes make them different, saying that the difference of consciousness, the first self-awareness's only support, that is, corresponding to form, that is the eye's sense organ, similarly, the difference of consciousness, the fifth self-awareness's only support, that is, corresponding to form, that is the body's sense organ, it will be explained like this, not establishing the unestablished with the unestablished. The so-called "two kinds of form" is
