Lineage is meaning. That is the realm of name that has become one's own realm, therefore that is also established as a realm. Why is the unconditioned not spoken of as the basis of discourse? Because the name belonging to time and the meaning not belonging to time are not related. Or, because the word "basis" encompasses the two meanings of realm and cause, whatever is the realm, cause, and condition of discourse, that is the basis of discourse, but the unconditioned is not the cause and condition of discourse, so it is not the basis of discourse. In another way, because conditioned things are extremely numerous, such as the past, the Tathagata Dipamkara appeared in such and such a way. The Tathagata Maitreya will appear in such and such a way. King Kapina will appear in such and such a way, because it is permissible to say so. Therefore, only conditioned things are spoken of as the basis of discourse, not the unconditioned. All conditioned things are nirvana, which refers to the nirvana without any aggregates remaining. If that is the case, since it exists with defilements and attachments, having defilements and attachments would necessarily be with emergence, then how to understand the truth of the path? It is said in the sutras that those who understand the types of dharma like a raft should abandon even the dharmas, what need is there to mention the non-dharmas? Therefore, the truth of the path also allows for emergence, so all conditioned things are only with emergence. Having a basis means that because the fruits existed previously and then arose later. Basis is a synonym for cause. Because it exists in those themselves, it is having a basis. In the scriptures, the word "basis" appears to have the meanings of self-nature, object, to be combined, cause, complete grasping, and five. For the time being, self-nature refers to the basis that obtains which basis has that self-nature, which indicates that it is that self-nature. Object refers to what are the knowable dharmas? The answer is that everything should be known, therefore one should know as one understands the basis, which is a synonym for understanding the object. For what should be combined, which basis

It is like saying that which is associated with subsequent pervasive activity is also associated with the pervasive activity of anger. What are the dharmas that have a basis as a cause? It is like saying all conditioned dharmas. Complete grasping means abandoning the complete grasping of the basis of fields, the basis of trade seasons, and the basis of wealth, and turning back from there. Here, it should be known that the sound of the word "basis" is the cause. In the phrase "Is it the word of cause?", the sound of the word "Is it" is used to show the other party's doctrine, and this own doctrine is that conditioned dharmas have a basis and self-nature, while unconditioned dharmas are imputed existences, so they have no basis, which is obvious. Also, the phrase "those conditioned dharmas themselves" is to show what was said above to be tainted. In "Whatever is tainted with outflows, the aggregates are also those", the words "among those" should be taken out from within. The phrase "What will be established" is used to examine what is the meaningful understanding. Because the sutras have spoken of the aggregates of close grasping and so on, therefore here they are explained in detail, just as it is said that all Abhidharma is the meaning of the sutras. Because they arise from those, they are the aggregates of close grasping, that is, the aggregates arising from close grasping are the aggregates of close grasping, because the intermediate word is not manifested, for example, the fire arising from grass is called grass fire, and the fire arising from chaff is called chaff fire. Others think that when the intermediate word is not manifested, the aggregates of close grasping are the aggregates of close grasping, which is established only by the sixth case compound, and also shows such examples, such as grass fire is grass fire. If all those who are counted as sentient beings have the cause of karma moistened by afflictions, therefore they should also be the aggregates of close grasping, then how can external objects be the aggregates of close grasping? They are also close grasping.
