The so-called "untainted conditioned phenomena, like those of non-arising dharmas," these are extremely obstructive to arising, therefore they are themselves non-arising dharmas, so by individually analyzing them, cessation can be attained. If any one of the six unobstructed paths of faith-following, or any one of the superior samādhis and samādhi grounds, manifests, then the remaining five can be attained by non-discriminating cessation. Because it is an untainted dharma, it is not cessation attained through individual analysis, a faultless dharma should not be abandoned. Mentioning "non-arising dharma" is to exclude past, present, and future dharmas. Mentioning "untainted" is to exclude tainted dharmas. Mentioning "conditioned" is to exclude unconditioned dharmas. Even unconditioned dharmas are by nature non-arising dharmas. Therefore, in order to avoid overgeneralization, this distinction is made. Some say, "For example, untainted dharmas are like non-arising dharmas." According to them, how can it be avoided that unconditioned dharmas are also included? It is not included, because this refers to those dharmas for which cessation through individual analysis or cessation through non-individual analysis is possible. For unconditioned dharmas, these cessations are not possible, because cessation through non-individual analysis is a permanent obstacle to arising, and unconditioned dharmas themselves do not arise. Furthermore, the term "non-arising dharmas" is a negation, that is, from dharmas other than arising dharmas, find those similar to it, these are non-arising dharmas. So, what are the dharmas similar to it? Only conditioned dharmas, not unconditioned dharmas, so unconditioned dharmas will not attain liberation, they say. The so-called "some dharmas can attain both cessations simultaneously" refers to cessation through individual analysis and cessation through non-individual analysis. For example, when explaining "tainted dharmas" in detail, it is said that because these dharmas are tainted, they can attain cessation through individual analysis, and because they are non-arising dharmas, they can attain through non-individual analysis.

Obstruction can also be obtained. These can be obtained at any time, but these cannot necessarily be obtained simultaneously. Some obtain obstruction through individual examination previously, and later obtain it without individual examination. For example, an Arhat, with eyes and mind distracted from one form, focuses on other forms, such as the five aggregates of consciousness. Some obtain obstruction without individual examination previously, and later obtain obstruction through individual examination. For example, sentient beings in evil destinies who have attained forbearance. Some are obtained simultaneously, for example, when a great antidote to a great affliction obtained through seeing arises, then those future great afflictions are obtained simultaneously through obstruction by individual examination and obstruction without individual examination. Similarly, apply appropriately to others as well. For example, the nature of the past, present, and future that are without outflows, because these past events cannot hinder arising. Therefore, obstruction without individual examination cannot be obtained. Because these are without outflows, obstruction through individual examination also cannot be obtained. For the unconditioned, since there is no arising, there is no obstruction without individual examination, because it has been said before that obstruction without individual examination is a permanent obstacle to arising. Because it is without outflows, there is also no obstruction through individual examination. Therefore, since there is little to say about the unconditioned, those questions have been completely answered, and now we want to explain the conditioned. Therefore, the conditioned, except for the path, what are those conditioned things that are said to be with outflows? This is the introduction. The word "also" in "those conditioned dharmas, also," indicates that the distinction between with outflows and without outflows has already been explained above, and this is another detailed distinction, to further explain another detailed distinction. Because the explanation of the unconditioned is interrupted, the word "conditioned" is mentioned again to exclude the unconditioned. "Those" should be connected with the previous context. What is the previous context that is connected?
