The cause of equal share is considered to be of the same kind, but not all are. The so-called "this is the same as the first affliction" means that the universally existing cause is the same as the ground and affliction. With what? With the fruit and the entity. How so? For the time being, the universally existing cause arising from the ground is between the desire realm and the peak of existence; its fruit is also between the desire realm and the peak of existence. The universally existing cause arising from affliction is also affliction, and its fruit is also affliction. Is the cause of equal share also the same as it in form? Not so. The so-called "also the same in form" means that the universally existing cause, its own fruit, the universally existing cause that is also the same in form, is considered to be the cause of equal share. Because it is the same as the ground and affliction, it is the universally existing cause; and because it is also the same in form, it is also the cause of equal share. Precisely because of this, since the two are of the same nature, there is a third possibility, so it should be divided into four possibilities. The first possibility is that the cause of equal share is not the universally existing cause, that is, the cause of equal share, such as desire, etc., it is only the cause of equal share of its own kind of affliction, because it is not the nature of universally existing, so it is not the universally existing cause. The second possibility is the universally existing cause of a different kind, that is, the universally existing cause, such as the view of the aggregation of destruction, etc., it is the nature of universally existing, and it is the cause of affliction of a different kind, so it is only the universally existing cause, and not the cause of equal share of affliction of a different kind, so it is not the cause of equal share. The third possibility is the universally existing cause of the same kind, that is, the universally existing cause, such as the view of the aggregation of destruction, etc., because it is the same as the affliction of the same kind, so it is the cause of equal share of the affliction of the same kind, it is the same as the affliction of the same kind.

Because it is the cause of affliction, it is the pervasive cause of it, and because it possesses the pervasive cause, it is also the pervasive cause. The fourth is excluding those aspects, which means excluding the aspects of the Dharma spoken of in the three categories. For example, afflicted dharmas are not the equalizing cause of virtuous dharmas, because they are different. Therefore, and because virtuous dharmas are not afflicted, they are also not pervasive causes. Similarly, it should also be added that virtuous dharmas are not of the afflicted. Afflictions are also not the equalizing cause of afflictions, nor are they the pervasive cause. For example, attachment and so on are not the equalizing cause of afflictions of other kinds because they are of different kinds, and attachment and so on are not pervasive, so they are not pervasive causes. Pervasive dharmas are also not the equalizing cause of afflictions of the same kind, nor are they the cause of all actions; if they are in the future, it should be added. Exhausted by the wisdom of detachment. This means that cessation attained by wisdom is the fruit of detachment. Therefore, it means that because exhaustion is cessation and wisdom is wisdom, cessation by separate examination is the fruit of detachment. It shows: By what power is what born? Expanding, what power, that is, by what power, is a contraction of the sixth case. By what power, the fruit of what is born of conditioned things, that is born from the action of that person. Born from the action of a person is born from the action of a person, meaning the fruit of the action of a person. It shows an example, from the example to when the lower one desires, the fruit of the mind of that application is the upper ground, that is, the samadhi of the first dhyana ground or the second dhyana ground.

English

For example, the term "born" is used in connection with "Purusakara-phala." The contaminated, the uncontaminated, and the mind manifested by the mind of a meditative being are also that very fruit. The word "etc." includes, for example, the dying mind of a sentient being in the desire realm, and the first moment of the intermediate state of a sentient being in the form realm, and so on. Examples of different categories are given to illustrate the fruit of a homogeneous cause. Different grounds are not the same as the cause, so the samadhi of the higher ground is not the fruit of the homogeneous cause of the mind of the lower ground's application. Similarly, the uncontaminated is not the fruit of the contaminated. It should be stated that not all fruits of homogeneous causes are Purusakara-phala. Whatever is born by the power of something, and is similar, of the same ground, and immediately follows, is both its Purusakara-phala and its fruit of homogeneous cause. There are also four possibilities in this regard: It is only Purusakara-phala, but not the fruit of a homogeneous cause, as mentioned before. It is only the fruit of a homogeneous cause, but not Purusakara-phala, such as the fruit of co-existent and pervasive causes that are interrupted. It is both, such as the fruit of co-existent and pervasive causes that arise immediately. It is neither, such as the Vipaka-phala, the fruit of the ripening cause. Cessation through discrimination is also considered to be Purusakara-phala, but because it is permanent, it is not born by the power of a cause, so it is not explained in the verses. To make it more relevant, it should be said, "Cessation through discrimination is obtained by the power of what?" Because cessation through discrimination is obtained by the power of discrimination, therefore cessation through discrimination is Purusakara-phala. The term "not previously arisen" is explained in detail. Not previously arisen is different from what previously existed. What is that?
