It has already been explained because it says "is." It has already been explained that the unindicated itself is also unobscured and unindicated because it says "unobscured and unindicated." What are the remaining unconscious beings and the faculty of life? It should be added that what should be said has already been said. It has already been explained that the unconscious belongs to the form, indicates sentient beings, is a result, and is unindicated. Because it says that the result is a great fruit. As for the faculty of life, it belongs to the three realms. It has already been explained because it says that life is life, because life belongs to the three realms. It also indicates sentient beings, and it is said in the sutra that life is a result. It has already been explained that the result is an unindicated dharma. It is called a sentient being and is prophesied. Because it says so, the result is only to indicate sentient beings. Therefore, the unobscured and unindicated here have also been explained. If the teacher says that what should be said has already been said and is difficult to understand, then how can one obtain the indication of sentient beings that have already been said? Because it has already been said that it is endowed, it is distinguished. What are the causes and what are the conditions? What is the difference between causes and conditions? Answer: There is none at all. For example, the Blessed One said that two causes and two conditions generate right view. What are the two? They are the sound of others and the internal proper attention. Cause and condition, basis and agent cause, reason and sign cause, cause and fruit position are different names. The word fruit position sometimes refers to trees and sometimes to other things. For example, the gods of the sun and the combination of trees are the combination of fruit positions. If there is no difference between them, then why are causes and conditions explained separately? Because cause also indicates other differences in meaning, and condition also indicates other differences. When explaining cause, it is the nature of not obstructing, as well as arising together and being similar, and so on.

It is explained as a difference in meaning, and when showing dependent origination, it is explained as other differences in meaning such as similar, immediately following, and so on. If all Dharmābhidharma is the meaning of the sūtras, the determination of the sūtras, and the separate explanation of the sūtras, then where are these six causes spoken from? The Vaibhāṣikas say that the sūtras have disappeared. Like this, the teachings that have spread from one place are shown between India, and now it seems that they are shown up to ten places. However, the sūtras that show the separately determined cause can be taken as examples: Relying on the eye and form, eye consciousness arises, this is the efficient cause, its nature is not hindering arising. These three limbs of the path follow right view, namely, co-emergent feeling, perception, and thought, this is the co-emergent cause, its nature is to follow each other and have the same function. If it is said that this person has both virtuous dharmas and non-virtuous dharmas, from this person's uninterrupted roots of virtue, if this person arises other roots of virtue from his roots of virtue, co-emergent with the small, then this person will later become a pure dharma. This is the homogenous cause, its nature is to accomplish the same result of past and present dharmas. After realization, being in accordance with wisdom, this is the first of the basis of seeing. Whatever is consciousness, is extremely known, this is the corresponding cause, its nature is the same object and the same function. If it is said that the body's actions of a person with wrong views, and the speech's actions of a person with wrong views, and the mind and wishes, and the formations that are in accordance with these, all these dharmas will become unpleasant, unlovable, displeasing, and unsuitable, that is it.
